Yuji Horii is the creator of the Dragon Quest series and of The Portopia Serial Murder Case, a 1983 PC mystery game that, by his own account, he wrote, drew and programmed alone. In October 2026 he shared a short mystery game on X that he says he made with AI in about 30 minutes.
