About 我在小镇写小说
A text-based simulation game on TapTap about writing for a living. You rent an old room in a small town on the edge of a county seat for 45 yuan a day, with 120 yuan left. By day you unload goods at the grain station, serve tea in the teahouse or pick mushrooms on the hill behind the town, noting gossip and people in a notebook; at night you turn what you have gathered into stories and post them to the county newspaper, not knowing until the fee arrives whether a piece made the front page or was rejected. The store text frames a run as ten days, 600 yuan in fees and 40 readers, and each story uses up material, so you have to go out again to gather more. In the creator note the developer says this is their first attempt at making a game, born of an old literary dream, that they knew nothing when they started, and that the game was made by AI: they only told the AI their ideas. TapTap files it under TapTap制造 (TapTap Maker), its AI game-making tool. It is a free trial (试玩 DEMO) on Android, iOS and PC.
