About AI Slop
AI Slop is a single-player idle economy game that satirises the AI gold rush, with you as the villain: an AI startup that churns out cheap content, scrapes everything and automates it all while its valuation soars. You make your first "slop" by hand, sell it and buy a better GPU, then hire ten terrible specialists, among them the AI Artist, the Deepfaker, the Bot Farmer, the Dataset Bro and the Jailbreaker, each with three career paths, whose crews all feed one shared GPU cluster. Prices follow a public hype cycle that rises and crashes, and you can take sponsor contracts for scraped datasets and trade meme coins. Inside the idle game sits Joker Poker, a deckbuilding poker roguelike: you play poker hands to beat score targets and collect jokers, 65 on the store page, that bend the rules and stack multipliers, while your bots keep working in the background. It is mouse-only, has no timers and no microtransactions. The "generating" in the game is an idle-economy action; neither the store text nor the disclosure describes AI generating content while you play. The developer's Steam AI disclosure, written in the game's satirical voice, says generative AI was used for practically every asset, line of code and piece of marketing, and that the logic behind the card games and the botnet automation was largely assembled by AI coding assistants. A 31 Oct 2026 update says every item, job and message was rewritten and every translation redone by hand. A paid game on Steam for Windows, released 21 Jun 2026, with its interface in 10 languages.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer's Steam AI disclosure is written as a joke in the game's own voice (it opens by warning that the game contains "trace amounts of human effort"). It says generative AI was used for practically every asset, line of code and marketing material, and that the logic powering the card games and the botnet automation was largely assembled by AI coding assistants. It also says every visual asset was made with text-to-image tools, the dialogue and item descriptions were generated by LLMs, and the background music by synthetic audio engines. No tool or model is named, and no exact share is given.
Per the satirical Steam disclosure, AI coding assistants largely assembled the game logic and generative tools made the art, text and music. A 31 Oct 2026 update, prompted by reviews and refund notes according to the developer, rewrote every item, job and message so the satire lands, redid all nine non-English translations by hand with a second reviewer, and added a menu, a first-launch guide and new Joker Poker jokers with clearer effects.

“Code & Mechanics: The logic powering our card games and botnet automation was largely assembled by AI coding assistants.”Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (re-read on 4 Nov 2026). It is deliberately satirical, but its code line is plain: the card-game and automation logic "was largely assembled by AI coding assistants"; no tool is named, so the tool is undisclosed. The game is about AI, not run by it: the store text and disclosure describe pre-made art, text and music and no AI service or content generated during play; the in-game "AI Agents" are idle-game helpers. The Oct 2026 update post says text and translations were later rewritten and redone by hand (see conflicts). The developer is Recoil Mojo and the publisher Mojo Games on Steam; whether they are the same party is not stated. Release date, price, Windows only and the 10 interface languages from the Steam store API; the review count from the store page on 4 Nov 2026. The store page mentions deepfakes and six-fingered anime girls as satire; Steam lists no content descriptors.
