About Stackade
Stackade is a tower defense game built from falling blocks. Pieces drop into a column beside the board and you drag each one into place around your HQ. Some blocks carry a tower, such as a rifle, a minigun or a flamethrower; the rest are plain walls that enemies cannot walk through, so every piece both adds firepower and shapes the path enemies have to take. Each enemy type gets to you in its own way: some look for the shortest route around your walls, some ignore walls, some stop at a distance to shoot your towers and some blow up against your blocks. Between levels you spend your pay in a shop on towers, buff cards, grid upgrades and new shapes, and buying a tower makes it appear more often in later pieces. A short four-level campaign teaches the rules; the main mode, Infinity, runs until your HQ falls, adding a new enemy type every three levels and its boss two levels later. The developer, Game Bistro, writes in the Steam AI disclosure that most of the code was written with generative AI coding tools to the developer's direction, that everything on the board is drawn by that code and that the game contains no AI-generated images. Made with Godot, per the developer's site. US$0.99 on Steam for Windows and macOS, released 30 Oct 2026, with a free demo on Steam and on itch.io.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer's Steam AI disclosure says most of Stackade's code was written with generative AI coding tools, working to the developer's direction, and that everything on the board is drawn by that code, so the game contains no AI-generated images. The ten translations besides English were produced with AI, and parts of the store page, its marketing images and its trailer were made with AI assistance. The sound effects and music are recordings made by people, credited in the game. The disclosure says nothing is generated by AI during play and the game never connects to an AI service. No tool or model is named.
Made in Godot, per the developer's site. Per the Steam disclosure, most of the code was written by generative AI coding tools to the developer's direction, and the board graphics are drawn in code rather than from image files; the translations were made with AI, while the music and sound effects are human-made recordings.

“Most of Stackade's code was written with generative AI coding tools, working to the developer's direction.”Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (most of the code written with generative AI coding tools; no tool named). Release date, price, platforms, languages and the Steam demo (app 5269040, free, 21 Sep 2026, Windows and macOS) from the Steam store API, checked 4 Nov 2026. Steam lists gamebistro.net as the game's website; that site says Stackade is "made with Godot" and links the Steam page, a Roblox version (roblox.com/games/129328414980964) and the itch.io demo. The Roblox version is not listed because Roblox is not a platform we track, and we did not check whether it is the same game. The itch.io page, re-checked on 4 Nov 2026, is a free HTML5 demo (desktop browser or phone in landscape) with the full Campaign and the first nine levels of Infinity; its itch.io AI disclosure tags read "AI Assisted, Code, Text", which agrees with the Steam disclosure. The Steam store page showed no user reviews on 4 Nov 2026, so no review figures are recorded. Steam's auto-generated regional ratings (Germany 12, Brazil 10, for violence) are not shown as a maturity rating. Team size and location are not stated.
