About Peace Under Heaven
A free 3D browser version of 天下太平, a childhood paper-and-pencil game played with rock-paper-scissors. Each round both sides throw rock, paper or scissors; the winner gets an action. You build your base on squared paper stroke by stroke until the four characters 天下太平 are complete, add flags, shields and paper aeroplanes, and once your forces are finished you go on the attack, destroying your opponent's defences and base to win. It is presented in a papercraft style on a sheet of graph paper. You can play against the computer, which picks its throw at random before you choose, or two players can share one device, taking turns to throw in secret. The game's interface is in Traditional Chinese; the itch.io page is in English and Traditional Chinese and notes that its rules may differ from how the game is played in other places. The developer, Zeppelin, made it as an AI game development challenge on a US$20-a-month ChatGPT Plus plan, mainly through Codex, and says the planning, coding and debugging were recorded. It is listed on itch.io as in development.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page says the game is an AI game development challenge built on a US$20-a-month ChatGPT Plus plan, mainly through Codex, and that the development record was kept as fully as possible, from planning and coding to debugging, to show what AI-assisted game development looks like in practice. The English text says it was made using ChatGPT Plus and Codex, and that coding, debugging, testing and communication with the AI were recorded. No model is named. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text.
Developed mainly through Codex under a ChatGPT Plus subscription, as a challenge whose process the developer says was recorded. Built with Vite, TypeScript and Three.js. The computer opponent picks its throw at random each round; the two-player mode hides each player's throw until both have chosen on the shared device.

“本作品是使用每月 20 美元 ChatGPT Plus 方案,主要透過 Codex 開發的 AI 遊戲挑戰作品。”Verification notes: AI use from the developer's own bilingual description on the itch.io page; no independent source was found. Codex is recorded as the tool; ChatGPT Plus is the subscription plan the developer used to access it, and the page does not describe separate use of ChatGPT. The page calls the work “AI 輔助遊戲開發” (AI-assisted game development) and tags it ai-assisted, but says it was developed mainly through Codex, so it is classed as vibe-coded. The development records and videos the page mentions were not found, and no release date is shown on the page, so the release date is not disclosed. The page credits the developer as Zeppelin under the itch.io account meadowtide; it uses “we” in the Chinese text, so developer type and team size are left undisclosed. Traditional Chinese text does not establish a location, so none is recorded. 天下太平 is the developer's own title. The in-game interface was checked in the game files: lang=zh-Hant and all interface text in Traditional Chinese, with no language option found. The “AI” opponent is the computer throwing at random; no calls to AI services were found. The game has local two-player play on one device, not online multiplayer.
