About wolfpack
A real-time strategy game in which you lead a pack of wolves against ten waves of human soldiers, followed by an endless hunt. Torchlight decides everything: wolves fear the flame and slow down inside its circle, so charging a lit line head-on gets the pack killed. Circle round and bite the torchbearer from behind, and the torch goes out for seven seconds, taking the fear with it. There are twelve named formations (Shield Wall, Phalanx, Wagenburg, Schiltron, Grand Army and more), each with its own weak point; bites from behind do double damage, two or more wolves on one soldier drag him out of line, and archers can only see wolves in the light. Howl (to stun) and Leap (to pounce) are unlocked between waves, along with upgrades, and a lost wave can be replayed with the pack you brought into it. A run timer and a top-five board are kept on your device. The developer, vendatta77, says the game was designed, coded and balanced by a panel of Claude agents, while the human author directed the project, recorded the wolf howls in their own voice and playtested it; the page calls the game a homage to Turtle Ship Fleet by parkjp. Free in the browser on itch.io, with mouse or WASD on a laptop and drag-and-tap controls on phones and tablets; it was entered in AI Browser Game Jam 5.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page says the game was “designed, coded and balanced by a panel of Claude agents”: a lead developer plus a game designer, a balance designer, a graphic designer, an audio director, mobile and laptop UX reviewers, a physics/formation reviewer, a story director, a lead director, a gamer and a jam judge persona. Balance changes were decided by majority vote with bot simulations, and every build was tested in a headless browser. The human author directed the project, recorded the wolf howls and playtested it. The page's credits read “Made by vendatta77 with Claude”.
- DeveloperAI Browser Game Jam 5 submission, AI Tools Used: “claude”. — itch.io (AI Browser Game Jam 5, hosted by Focaccai)
Made for AI Browser Game Jam 5 (theme: Torch) by a set of Claude agent roles under the human author's direction, per the itch.io page. The art is drawn in code on a canvas and the music and effects are synthesized live with Web Audio, so the game has no image files; the only recorded sound is the wolf howls, which are the author's own voice layered into a pack. Balance changes were voted on by the agents with bot simulations, and every build was tested in a headless browser.

“Designed, coded and balanced by a panel of Claude agents”Verification notes: AI use from the itch.io page (the making-of paragraph and the credits) and the AI Tools Used answer (“claude”) on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page, both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. The page credits Claude agents with the design, the code and the balance; it does not name Claude Code or a model and gives no share, so no AI code share is recorded. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text. Team size is not stated; the page speaks of one human author. The game's title on the page is “wolfpack”; its description calls it Wolf Pack vs. Torch Bearers. The engine is not named; the browser build is a JavaScript canvas game and makes no calls to AI services (checked 5 Nov 2026). Publication (20 Oct 2026, 03:04 UTC) and last update (24 Oct 2026, 09:15 UTC) from the itch.io page. Jam voting was still open on 5 Nov 2026, so no placement is recorded; itch.io shows no public rating. The game was not played.
