About Shards of Stone
A free real-time strategy game inspired by Warcraft 2. It has nine playable factions, fog of war, skirmish against AI and online multiplayer. The developer, AJSturrock, says in a Show HN post that they built it using Claude as their primary development tool, and that Claude handled everything except the music, voices and art. It plays in desktop and mobile browsers, and there are desktop apps for Mac, Windows and Linux with cross-play.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer says Claude was their primary development tool, used on a Claude Max plan with plan mode and parallel sub-agent teams. Claude handled everything except the music (Suno), dialogue voices (ElevenLabs) and art (Gemini). Crash reports go to a database that Claude reads to patch bugs.
Built in spare time with Claude as the primary development tool. The developer says they built it over about 10 hours of spare time before the Show HN post. Music was made with Suno, dialogue voices with ElevenLabs and art with Gemini image generation. The engine runs on HTML5 Canvas and Next.js with an ECS architecture. The optional LLM commander (player's own API key), AI-vs-AI spectator mode and voice orders are extra features; the core RTS runs on a scripted AI.

Price, platforms, factions and version (v0.3.8) from the official site. The site does not name the developer, so only the HN handle is used. The site now also lists a MOBA, a dungeon crawler and a card game set in the same world; these are not recorded as separate games. The exact release date is not confirmed.
