About Over the lava
Over the lava is a small free 3D platformer for the browser, made in Unity. Lava rises from below and the goal is to hold out as long as possible without falling in: stepping on a green platform lowers the lava again, while a red one makes it rise faster; the rest, the page says, is a secret. You look around with the mouse, move with WASD, run with Shift and jump with Space. It was made by 김민규 (itch.io: aksen4444) as an entry to a class game jam on itch.io for the 3D game programming midterm of the Department of AI Game Convergence at Seoil University, whose theme was the camera. The game page states that the game's code was handled entirely by AI and that its thumbnail was made by AI, while the player character is a free asset; the AI tool is not named. itch.io lists it as a prototype; the page is in Korean.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe game page states (in Korean) that the game's code was handled entirely by AI and that the thumbnail was made by AI, and that the player character is a free asset. No tool or model is named. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code. The jam's assessment criteria ask entrants to note briefly where AI was used.
- OfficialClass jam page, criterion 3: entrants briefly note any parts made with AI (for example planning or programming). — itch.io (gamefive)
Per the game page, the code was written entirely by AI and the thumbnail made by AI, while the player character is a free asset. Made in Unity as a browser (WebGL) build for a class jam whose brief asked for games that use two or more cameras, move the camera viewpoint in different ways or use a camera gimmick, and that implement at least one of each thing practised in class (colliders, materials, three kinds of light, rigid bodies, cameras and so on).

“*해당 작품의 코드는 AI가 전담하였습니다!”Verification notes: Gameplay, controls and AI use from the developer's itch.io page (published 23 Oct 2026, 13:45 UTC; status Prototype; HTML5; made with Unity; AI disclosure ticks AI Assisted and Code; rated 5.0 from 1 rating) and the class jam's itch.io page, re-read on 6 Nov 2026. The jam (2026_2rd_AIGameJam:keyword:Multi-camera, hosted by gamefive; 14 entries; open from 21 Oct to 1 Nov 2026 as shown on the page) is described there as the submission jam for the 2026 midterm exam (assignment) of the 3D game programming class in Seoil University's Department of AI Game Convergence; it shows no rankings. The developer's name, 김민규, appears in the game's itch.io title and in the titles of the developer's other class projects on the same profile; the itch.io title also contains a student number, which we do not reproduce. The page does not say how the theme (cameras) is used in the game. The Unity web build's data was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. Team size is not stated. We did not play the game.
