About Actually Indian (AI)
Actually Indian (AI) is a short satirical comedy game in the browser. Torchly AI, billed as the world's most advanced language model, is fictional and is really one guy in a bedroom in India, and you play him. From the 2020 lockdown to a $40 billion acquisition, you answer every customer fast enough and robotically enough that nobody suspects a person is typing: each reply is built from three cards (an opener, a body and a closer), and robotic combinations lower suspicion while human-sounding ones raise it. The product grows each year, with image requests where you drag stickers onto a canvas (2022), sets of images (2023), 8-second videos (2024) and markdown documents (2025). Meanwhile life interrupts: you shut the window on the neighbours' fight, reboot the router, light a candle in a power cut and go to Mom before she gets the belan. Boss replies have to be typed in time, dollars buy upgrades that last for life, and if the suspicion gauge fills you are busted. A full run takes about 12 minutes, with keyboard and mouse. The developer, SHORYA (itch.io account vassu-v), says in the jam submission that Claude wrote the Godot game code, the game design, the dialogue and in-game text, the 3D scene setup through Blender scripts, the synthesised audio and the itch.io page, while a human directed, playtested and edited it. Made for AI Browser Game Jam 5 (theme: Torch) and free to play in the browser on itch.io.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer's jam answer says Claude (Anthropic) wrote the Godot game code, the game design, the dialogue and in-game text, the 3D scene setup through Blender scripts, the synthesised audio and the itch.io page, and that a human directed, playtested and edited it; Godot 4.7 and Blender 5.2 were the tools. The itch.io page words it more softly, as made “with AI assistance (Claude), directed and playtested by a human”. Which Claude product or model was used is not stated.
- Developeritch.io page: “Built with Godot 4.7 and Blender 5.2, with AI assistance (Claude), directed and playtested by a human.” and “All audio is synthesised in code.” — itch.io
A Godot 4.7 game exported to the web, with the code, design, text and synthesised audio by Claude, and 3D scenes set up in Blender 5.2 through scripts that Claude wrote. The 3D models are third-party CC0 and CC-BY assets credited in the game, together with the font licences; all audio is synthesised in code. One human directed, playtested and edited it. The game's scripts are GDScript, observed in the web build's data file.

“Claude (Anthropic) wrote the Godot game code, game design, dialogue and in-game text, the 3D scene setup via Blender scripts, the synthesised audio, and the itch page. A human directed, playtested and edited it.”Verification notes: Premise, gameplay, controls and AI use from the developer's itch.io page (published 25 Oct 2026, 15:36 UTC; status Released; HTML5; made with Godot; genre Simulation) and the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page, both re-read on 4 Nov 2026. The developer name SHORYA is from the page's credits (“Made by SHORYA”); the itch.io account is vassu-v. Team size 1 rests on “A human directed, playtested and edited it”. Claude is recorded as named; the sources do not say whether Claude Code or the Claude chat app was used. Torchly AI is fictional (the page presents it as a language model, not a company), and the game satirises AI services as a theme; it uses no AI while it runs: the web build, including the Godot data file, was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. The 3D models are credited CC0 and CC-BY assets listed in the game (not checked one by one). The sources give no AI code share, so none is recorded. Submissions closed on 31 Oct 2026 and voting was still in progress on 4 Nov 2026, so no placement is recorded. On 4 Nov the submission page showed 3 jam ratings (observed; jam votes, not players or reviews, so not recorded as a metric). itch.io shows no public rating and no download count. The game was not played.
