About Bangkok: City of Legends
A narrative RPG in the browser set in Bangkok. You play Bob, a first-time tourist, or Beaux, a digital nomad, starting on Khao San Road with your wallet already gone. It combines a visual novel's dialogue choices with an RPG's stats, inventory, quests and journal, and your choices shape your character, relationships, reputation and route through the story; there is fighting too, though the developer does not recommend it. The characters are voiced by comedians from Bangkok's comedy scene and the tone is comedy. Chris Cooke started it for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of the code to be written by AI, and lists Claude Code in the official submission. The developer's own article on vibe-coded games, which it says covers only games that are “proudly and publicly vibe coded”, includes this one and says it has been worked on for months since the jam. It is in beta with a free demo, with no download or account; on a phone it plays in landscape. The developer notes adult themes.

Started for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on PixiJS, inspired by choose-your-own-adventure books, RPGs and point-and-click games such as Monkey Island (per the jam submission).
