About Frontier
Frontier is an Early Access game that combines automated farming with action RPG exploration on an alien world. You reclaim an abandoned homestead, lay out the farm, grow alien crops, build production facilities and manage power and logistics, and set priorities for a fleet of AGR agricultural robots that handle the daily work. From the farm you travel by dropship on expeditions into forest and desert wilderness to fight hostile creatures, gather resources and find new organisms to bring home for research and cultivation; what you find unlocks new technology, crops and production chains, and the equipment for more dangerous regions. Update 0.2, “The Plateau” (30 Oct 2026), added a mountain expedition with three new creatures, the Plateau farm zone with wind generators, an enterable Nova Lily greenhouse, a Veyr companion to raise from an egg and a power-priority screen; a volcano update, 0.3, has been announced. The developer's Steam AI disclosure says a solo developer conceived, designed, directed and play-tested the game and used generative AI as the primary production tool to implement it, including programming, artwork, audio, writing and other assets, with the developer specifying requirements, reviewing results, requesting revisions and approving the final content; it adds that no generative AI is used during gameplay.
