About Stall Quest

Stall Quest is a free shopkeeping idle simulation with RPG elements, which the developer dedicates to players who used to leave their shops open in old-school MMORPGs. The story follows Rei, a boy whose allowance of 1,000 yen a month will never pay for the new monster-collecting game he saw on TV, and who falls asleep wishing he had lots of money; the game takes place in his dream. You gather items in dungeons, open a stall, set your own prices and sell, then spend your earnings at other stalls on better gear and head back into the dungeons. The store page lists 48 kinds of enemies and 30 kinds of items, and the game has Steam achievements and adjustable difficulty. Version 1.1.0 (24 Sep 2026) fixed bugs and added many player-requested features, such as item sorting, a filter for your shop, a way to mark items to keep and a full-screen option. The developer's Steam AI disclosure says Google AI Studio Build and Antigravity were used for coding and ChatGPT for design, and that the images, music and sound effects are also AI-generated. Free on Steam for Windows since 9 Sep 2026, in English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.

How it was built

Partially verified

The developer's Steam AI disclosure says Google AI Studio Build and Antigravity were used for coding. It does not name the model behind them or say how much of the code they wrote. Per the same disclosure, ChatGPT was used for design; Stable Diffusion, Gemini 3.1 Flash Image, DALLE-3, MAI-image-1 and GPT-4o for images; Suno for the background music; and ElevenLabs Sound Effects for the sound effects.

Development approach

Per the Steam disclosure, the code was written with Google AI Studio Build and Antigravity, the design was done with ChatGPT, and the images, background music and sound effects came from AI generators. The disclosure gives no other detail about the process.

Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (re-read on 4 Nov 2026): Google AI Studio Build and Antigravity were used for coding. Both are Google products, but the disclosure names Gemini only for images (Gemini 3.1 Flash Image), not for the code, so the coding tool is recorded as undisclosed. No share of the code is given, so the game is classed as AI-assisted. The store text says you shop at other players' stalls, but Steam lists no multiplayer or online category for the game, so these stalls are not described here as other real players'. The developer's Steam post of 26 Sep 2026 says the game passed 500 downloads; that is developer-reported and kept in the history, not recorded as a metric. Release date, price, Windows only and the four languages from the Steam store API; review figures from the store page on 4 Nov 2026. No website is listed.
