About Incremental Traffic

Incremental Traffic is an incremental logistics game set in a procedurally generated valley town. You haul goods from fields, forests and quarries to factories that press and assemble simple shapes into bigger products, earn money on every delivery and spend it on more trucks and faster factories. The roads are fixed and every vehicle on them is one of your trucks, so the more you grow, the worse the jams get. Your tools are the rules of the road: you paint yields, stops, traffic lights, extra lanes and roundabouts, and late in a run you can buy new bridges, bypasses and shortcuts. The traffic simulation runs lane by lane, with jams, gridlock and deadlocks that emerge on their own; there are four truck models, five tiers of goods, towns three to eight regions long and an endless Boomtown mode. The developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was built together with an AI coding assistant, including the code that draws everything on screen, and that there are no AI-painted images, textures, sounds or music. No tool is named, and no devlog or website was found. A paid game on Steam for Windows, released 1 Nov 2026.

How it was built

Partially verified

The developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was built together with an AI coding assistant, and that this includes the code that draws everything you see. It also says there are no AI-painted images, textures, sounds or music in the game. The assistant is not named, and how much of the code it wrote is not stated.

Development approach

Not described beyond the Steam disclosure: the developer built the game together with an AI coding assistant, and all visuals are drawn by code rather than by AI image generation. The store page lists a lane-based traffic simulation, procedurally generated towns, full controller support and Steam Cloud saves.

“I built Incremental Traffic together with an AI coding assistant. That includes the code that draws everything you see.”
— Rischer Kriebl, Incremental Traffic on Steam

Verification notes: The AI claim rests on one source, the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (re-read on 4 Nov 2026): “I built Incremental Traffic together with an AI coding assistant. That includes the code that draws everything you see. There are no AI-painted images, textures, sounds or music in the game.” It names no tool and gives no share of the code, so the game is listed as AI-assisted with the tool undisclosed. Steam lists no website, and no devlog or social post was found. Steam lists Rischer Kriebl as developer and publisher; the disclosure uses “I”, but team size is not stated. Release date, price, platform and languages from the Steam store API; review figures from the store page on 4 Nov 2026, three days after release. No AI content generated during play is described.
