About Quota: Hit Your Number
Quota: Hit Your Number is an incremental career game that satirises sales jobs. You start in a basement with a phone, a list of strangers and a monthly quota, and every rank plays differently. As an SDR you dial, get past the gatekeeper and hit a timing bar, then buy interns and auto-dialers that keep calling for you. As an Account Executive you drag deals through a pipeline, where they grow in value if you wait and go cold if you wait too long, and negotiate with Procurement using cards. As a manager you draw candidates, reroll and fuse two reps of the same rarity into a better one; as VP of Sales the continent becomes a board game in which you place managers, take neighbouring regions and counter a rival's live attacks; and as Chief Sales Officer you build a sales organisation across five continents, raise the share price and ring the bell at an IPO. After Senior SDR the ladder forks between selling alone and leading a team. Missing quota puts you on a performance improvement plan, missing again sends you down a level, and headhunters offer a bigger company at a lower rank in exchange for a fresh start with prestige. An autopilot keeps playing while you work, with a boss key. Every sprite is drawn by the game's own art generator and all sound is synthesised from simple waveforms, with no image or audio files. The solo developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was made by one developer working with an AI coding assistant, and that the code that draws the art and synthesises the audio, as well as much of the in-game text and the English localisation, was written with it. In Early Access on Steam for Windows since 25 Oct 2026 at US$3.99, in English and German.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was made by one developer working with an AI coding assistant. It says no image, audio or video generators were used and the files contain no model-generated assets: every sprite is drawn by the game's own art generator and all music and sound effects are synthesised at runtime from square, triangle and noise waves. The code that draws and synthesises them was written with the AI assistant, as was much of the in-game text and the English localisation, all directed, reviewed and revised by the developer. No AI runs during play and the game never connects to an external service. The assistant is not named, and the disclosure does not say how much of the rest of the game code it wrote.
One developer working with an unnamed AI coding assistant, per the Steam disclosure. The art and audio are produced by code (a built-in sprite generator and a waveform synthesiser), and that code was written with the assistant, as was much of the in-game text and the English localisation; the developer directed, reviewed and revised all of it. The developer says Early Access is for tuning the pacing against real players and that version 0.9 is complete in structure. Update 0.9.7, the day after launch, rebalanced the first month and reworked the achievements.

“This game was made by one developer working with an AI coding assistant.”Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (re-read on 4 Nov 2026): the game was made by one developer working with an AI coding assistant, and the code that draws the art and synthesises the audio, much of the in-game text and the English localisation were written with it. The disclosure does not say how much of the other game code the assistant wrote, so the game is listed as AI-assisted, and no tool is named, so the tool is recorded as undisclosed. Solo development from the same disclosure and the launch post ("I built Quota alone"). Early Access status, the 1 to 3 month estimate and the planned price rise from the Early Access section of the store page; release date, price, platform and languages from the Steam store API on 4 Nov 2026; the review count from the store page the same day. The launch post lists 29 achievements; the store page and update 0.9.7 say 30. The art and sound are procedurally generated by the game's own code at runtime, which is not generative AI; the disclosure says no AI runs during play. Steam lists no website.
