About KEEP IT ON HER

KEEP IT ON HER is a first-person horror game set at Sweetie's Motel, where you work the front desk. By day you answer the phone, carry the guests' requests up to their rooms (forty towels, a spare key, a tray back to the kitchen) and clean up the messes they leave. At nightfall the power cuts out, the front doors lock and Sweetie starts hunting the halls. She cannot move while a flashlight is on her, but the beam sputters if you hold it too long, and one touch ends your shift. Guests left waiting too long become her victims and come looking for you the next night. Story Shift is a week of five saved nights, Endless Shift runs until she catches you, and Crew Shift is online co-op for two to four players with proximity voice chat and crossplay between Windows, macOS and Linux. The Steam AI disclosure says the game was developed with AI tools under human creative direction, and that the AI-generated content includes the code, the character and environment assets, the artwork, audio, narrative text and translations; no tool is named. It runs on Unreal Engine 5, per the official site. A paid game on Steam since 23 Oct 2026, with a free demo; the studio has also released a separate free browser prequel, Sweetie's Motel, on itch.io.

Content note: Steam content notice: frightening supernatural creatures, pursuit, sudden jump scares, unsettling audio, brief skeleton imagery and implied player death; some rooms show blood stains and pools of blood, but no bodies or violent acts. No nudity or sexual content. Contains flashing and flickering lights. (Steam)

How it was built

Partially verified

The game's Steam AI disclosure says it was developed using AI tools under human creative direction, and that the AI-generated content includes the code, character and environment assets, title and promotional artwork, audio, narrative text and translations. It says no AI content is generated during play. No tool is named, and how much of the code AI wrote is not stated.

Development approach

The press kit calls it a solo-led production in which its creator directs the design and brings the game together; a Steam update post calls Just2Dudes a two-person studio. Per the Steam disclosure, AI tools generated the code, the assets, artwork, audio, text and translations under human creative direction. Built on Unreal Engine 5 with optional hardware ray tracing, per the official site. A free demo with online co-op came out two weeks before launch, and the developers posted several updates in the first ten days after release.

Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page, which lists code first among the AI-generated content and names no tool. The official site keepitonher.com (listed as the game's website on Steam) and its press kit do not mention AI. Engine from the official site. Team size: a Steam update post (2 Nov 2026) asks for reviews to help “a two-person studio”, while the press kit calls the game a solo-led production; both are recorded as written. Release date, price, platforms and languages from the Steam store API; the demo date from the demo's Steam page; the review count from the store page (the review API returned nothing when checked). The Steam language list includes Turkish, which the Exterminator Update (28 Oct 2026) added; the press kit, last updated 24 Oct, lists ten languages without it. A 31 Oct 2026 update added an optional setting in which, in co-op, the walls listen to proximity chat and Sweetie may answer; the post says the listening happens on the player's computer and voices are never saved, and does not say how it works. The Steam disclosure, still unchanged after that update, says the game does not generate AI content during play and lists only pre-made AI content; the post does not say whether the listening uses speech recognition or whether Sweetie's replies are pre-written, and no source describes generative AI at runtime. Sweetie's Motel, the free browser game linked from the official site, is a separate prequel on itch.io (made with Three.js, with its own AI disclosure tags: AI Assisted, Code, Graphics, Sounds, Text) and is not listed as a version of this game.
