About Silent Research
Silent Research is a short, atmospheric first-person horror game meant to be played in one sitting. You are Andrew, a researcher who has spent years at an electrical station in a remote, fog-covered forest; you wake up in a cabin with your memory failing and your research scattered, and must gather it before reaching your car and escaping. There is no combat. You explore the forest, its abandoned structures and remnants of past experiments while voice recordings left by Andrew reveal clues as his mind unravels; the developer says they aimed for tension and atmosphere rather than jump scares. It is the developer's first game; before release they called it inspired by Iron Lung and Squirrel Stapler. In the Steam AI disclosure the developer says they made the game mostly with AI: the code with ChatGPT, the 3D assets with mesh-generation sites such as Meshy, and the voice acting with ElevenLabs. US$2.99 on Steam for Windows since 17 Feb 2025, in English with full audio.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer's Steam AI disclosure says: “I have made the game mostly with AI. I used 3D mesh rendering websites, like Meshy for the assets. For the voice acting, I used Eleven Labs. The code I made with ChatGPT, everything is bought for and commercially licensed of course.” No model is named, and no code share is given.
A solo first game made mostly with AI, per the developer: code with ChatGPT, 3D assets from mesh-generation sites such as Meshy, and voice acting with ElevenLabs, all under paid commercial licences according to the disclosure. The engine and workflow are not stated.

“I have made the game mostly with AI.”Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (read on 4 Nov 2026), which says the game was made mostly with AI and the code with ChatGPT. Team size 1 and “my first game” come from the developer's Steam announcements of 3 and 17 Feb 2025; the Iron Lung and Squirrel Stapler inspiration is the developer's own description in the first of them, and no names or assets from those games were found on the store page. The 3 Feb 2025 announcement gave 28 Feb as the release date; the game came out on 17 Feb. The launch post describes the goal as finding lost GPS trackers, while the store page speaks of recovering research. Release date, price, platform and language from the Steam store API; the review count from the store page on 4 Nov 2026. Steam's auto-generated regional age ratings are 14 to 18 for horror and violence; the developer has added no mature-content note. No website is listed; location is not stated.
