About JUNKISSA DIVE
A small physics action game set in a junkissa, a retro Japanese-style café, that only opens after midnight. You pull back a topping such as a cherry, a sugar cube or a strawberry and launch it across the counter to land it on coffee, cake or melon soda; players compared it to artillery games and Angry Birds. After five orders the game picks one creation from your shift and turns it into a retro café poster, followed by a receipt and a short note from the manager, your childhood friend who opened the café. The developer says the aim is to enjoy how the night turned out rather than to chase a high score. It was made in 72 hours for the Ultimate AI-Powered Game Jam #2, whose themes were DIVE (here the toppings dive, not the player) and the optional BUDDY, and placed 6th of 30 entries there; it was also entered in AI Browser Game Jam 4, where it shared 12th place overall out of 123 entries. The developer, SukimaStock, says ChatGPT was a creative and technical partner throughout, helping with the JavaScript implementation and debugging, the rules, the interface and the Japanese and English text. Free in the browser and on phones, in Japanese with an English option.
How it was built
VerifiedThe developer's devlog says ChatGPT was used throughout the 72-hour jam as a creative and technical partner: for game design and rule iteration, JavaScript implementation and debugging, interface and visual design, interaction and animation tuning, the Japanese and English text, and repeated reviews while the developer played and adjusted the game. The devlog says the final direction, selection, integration and polish were done through many small iterations of playing, discussing and changing the game. How much of the code ChatGPT wrote is not stated. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text.

Built in 72 hours for the Ultimate AI-Powered Game Jam #2 (7–10 Aug 2026), which required generative AI for at least one major part of each game. The developer worked with ChatGPT on the code, screen design and rules, and spent a lot of the time tuning the launch physics, camera, zoom, sound, hit reactions and phone controls, then linking each attempt to the closing poster and receipt. The game is an HTML5 canvas game in JavaScript. The developer's previous game was MIDNIGHT COLA.

“I made the game with ChatGPT as my development “buddy,” working together on the code, screen design, and game rules.”Verification notes: Tool from three developer sources: the devlog, the itch.io description and the AI Tools Used answers on both official jam submission pages. Placements from the official results pages: 6th of 30 entries in the Ultimate AI-Powered Game Jam #2 (Overall Enjoyment 3.545 from 11 ratings; also 6th for AI Direction & Adaptability and for Production Velocity; rating ran 10–13 Aug 2026), and 12th overall in AI Browser Game Jam 4, shared with one other entry, score 3.667 from 9 ratings, out of 123 entries (rating ran 18 Aug–1 Sep 2026). The game was made for the Ultimate AI-Powered Game Jam #2 (themes DIVE and BUDDY) and then also entered in AI Browser Game Jam 4, whose theme was Charge!; that jam's rules allow continuing projects. Release date: submitted to the Ultimate AI-Powered Game Jam #2 about seven hours before its 10 Aug 12:00 UTC deadline, and the devlog saying the game is finished is dated 10 Aug 2026. Languages: the game's code starts in Japanese, and the developer says in a reply on the AI Browser Game Jam 4 page that a button at the top left of the title screen switches to English. The game's code was checked: it loads Google Fonts, its own files and a Plausible analytics script, and no calls to AI services were found. The devlog writes in the first person, but team size and location are not stated. itch.io shows no public rating outside the jams.
