About Epic Survivors
A single-player action roguelite in the Survivors style in which you fight thousands of enemies at once. It runs on MonoGame with a custom engine. On a public architecture page, the developer says all 104K lines of game and engine code were written with AI coding tools: first Cursor, later mainly Claude Code, with Codex running some agents. The art, music and sound effects are made by humans. The full game is listed on Steam as coming soon, and a free demo is available there.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer says they "switched to Claude Code full-time" after starting in Cursor and ran up to 8 parallel agents at peak. The developer is unsure which model was used at the start (Sonnet 3 or ChatGPT).
The developer says the game was started in Cursor before the move to Claude Code.
The developer says Codex was used from around the final 10-day sprint before Steam Next Fest, for 2 of the 8 agents, on larger features.
Game and custom engine written with parallel AI coding agents (Cursor, then mainly Claude Code, plus Codex), documented on a public architecture page. The developer reports 178 active coding days and 5,982 commits between the first commit (3 Oct 2024) and the Steam demo (Oct 2025).

“104K lines of 100% AI-coded game + engine”Verification notes: AI use, code size, commit and day counts come from the developer's architecture page (hosted on the web3dev1337 GitHub account, which links @BlueShrimpGames and the Steam page). They are not independently verified. The page does not name the studio; Steam lists Blue Shrimp Games as developer and publisher. The page mentions a friend who helped part-time, so team size is left undisclosed. The Steam page has no AI disclosure. Steam lists the full game as coming soon, with a free demo.
