About Void Balls
A 2D roguelite bullet-hell platformer played with two buttons, jump and parry. The player is a ball that moves on its own; parrying enemies absorbs their powers, and 15 upgrade cards change each run of about ten minutes. The developer, LoopedInGames, says in an itch.io devlog that the game was built in 10 days, with Claude Code (Opus) writing all of the roughly 29,000 lines of C# in Unity, reviewed by the developer. It is free to play in the browser on itch.io, with a paid Windows build; a Steam release is listed for Q4 2026.

How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer says Claude Code (Opus) was the main development tool: architecture, C# implementation, game balance, marketing and content, with eight specialised agent roles from design to QA. Unity MCP connected Claude to the Unity Editor to inspect scenes, run play mode and debug live game state. Sprites were made with the Replicate API and audio with ElevenLabs.
Solo project in Unity built in 10 days, per the developer. A game design document was drafted in AI-assisted sessions before coding; the developer reports about 173 scripts, roughly 29,000 lines of C# and 88 test files, and about $50 a month in AI tool costs.

“Void Balls was built in 10 days by me using AI at every stage of development.”Verification notes: AI use, code size and build time from the developer's itch.io devlog; the itch.io AI disclosure lists only graphics and sounds. Steam data from the store API (coming soon, Q4 2026, English). The official site voidballs.game links the itch.io page but not Steam; the Steam developer and publisher name (LoopedInGames) matches.
