About The Way: The Beloved's Testimony
The Way: The Beloved's Testimony is a strategy visual novel set in first-century Judaea and its neighbouring lands. As Yedid, the beloved witness, you carry an unfinished testimony from Jerusalem through fourteen districts and grow Christianity from a handful of believers into a following. Each day you spend Works on witnessing, listening, serving, visiting and travelling; you found households and local churches that have to stand on their own once your company moves on, and you win over crowds in turn-based public contests, with a forecast for each action and an optional Auto mode. Saul's searches turn into sudden raids, Rome moves to proscription, rival Houses compete with you, and if Jerusalem is lost its refugees carry the movement into neighbouring districts. The store page lists fifty named people, four alternative paths after Damascus (the Received Account, Letters in Chains, Council of Houses and Hidden Tables) and eight families of endings, plus local saves, controller support, large text, reduced motion, stronger contrast and instant text. It calls the game the spiritual sequel to The Greatest Story Ever Told. The developer's Steam AI disclosure says all of the code, images, sounds, songs and writing were AI-generated; no tool is named. Free on Steam since 23 Oct 2026, in English, with music and ambience but no voice acting; Steam lists Windows and Linux.

“All code, images, sounds, songs, and writing were AI generated.”Verification notes: The AI claim rests on the one-line developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (read on 4 Nov 2026): all code, images, sounds, songs and writing were AI-generated. No tool is named, so the tool is undisclosed. The store page says play is offline with local saves; no source describes AI running during play. The description calls the game “the spiritual sequel to The Greatest Story Ever Told”; we found no game of that name by this developer on Steam (a Steam search for the developer returns only this game), so what the earlier work is was not established. The setting and figures (Saul, Paul, Damascus, Rome) are drawn from early Christian history. Release date, price, platforms and language from the Steam store API; the review count from the store page on 4 Nov 2026. No website is listed; team size and location are not stated.
