Rights holder / original work: Battle Arena Toshinden (Tamsoft / Takara, 1995)
An original-cast 3D weapon fighter whose engine, according to its README, re-implements the data structures and control flow of Battle Arena Toshinden as documented by a static recompilation (mstan/BattleArenaToshindenRecomp), including its character and boss slots, command matching, action table and two of the recomp's mods. The page says it contains no original game code or assets and is not affiliated with Takara, Tamsoft or Sega; its fighters, models, music and sound are its own. No source mentions a licence from the rights holders. (Dmar3000 (itch.io))
VibeGameDB lists this game only to document that it was made with AI coding tools. We do not host it, we do not represent the rights holder, and listing it does not mean it is licensed.

About Blade Arena: Kengeki
A 3D weapon-based fighting game for the Sega 32X add-on. Eight fighters, each with a weapon and a home country, and two bosses fight on raised platforms where a knockdown near the edge can mean a ring-out; you sidestep or roll around the opponent, run, dodge with an invulnerable back hop, throw, and use three slash specials, three kick specials and a desperation move that unlocks when your health is in the red. The modes are Arcade, Versus, Watch (CPU against CPU) and Options, across ten arenas with their own music; rounds, timer and five ring sizes are adjustable, and both three- and six-button pads work. The developer, D-Mar The Daytripper (Dmar3000 on itch.io), says it is inspired by Battle Arena Toshinden (PlayStation, Tamsoft/Takara, 1995): the README says the engine re-implements game structures documented by a static recompilation of that game, while the name, characters, models, animation, music and sound are the game's own. Credited as vibe-coded with Haroldo-Ok's Sega 32X skill for Claude, with all original game code and assets AI-generated. A free 4 MB ROM for a flashcart or a 32X emulator.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page's credits read “Vibe-coded by D-Mar The Daytripper” with Haroldo-Ok's Sega 32X Skill for Claude and Chilly Willy's 32XDK, followed by “All original game code and assets AI Generated.” The page's AI disclosure ticks AI Assisted, Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text, and the README says the same credits appear in the game after beating Arcade mode. Which Claude product or model was used is not stated.
- DeveloperLaunch devlog: the developer followed the same guidelines as for Asphalt Vendetta, and the game, inspired by Battle Arena Toshinden, uses its own code structure and assets. — Dmar3000 (itch.io devlog)
A software rasteriser on the 32X draws Gouraud-shaded floors and walls and fighters built as articulated box skeletons (21–26 boxes each), depth-sorted into buckets in the manner of the PlayStation's ordering table; translucency tables handle energy effects and shadows. The slave SH-2 mixes twelve stereo voices (eight music, four effects) at 22,050 Hz into the PWM hardware, with 13 songs of sampled instruments. The README says the BattleArenaToshindenRecomp repository contains no game code, so the project re-implements the structures and control flow that the recomp documents: the player records, character slots 0–7 plus the two boss slots, the select screen, the command matcher with its desperation gate and the 45-entry action table, plus the recomp's Extra Roster and desperation-at-any-health mods as options. The README notes the arenas are kept at 60% of the PlayStation scale.

“All original game code and assets AI Generated.”Verification notes: Credits, AI disclosure, features and the relation to Battle Arena Toshinden from the itch.io page (published 11 Oct 2026 05:35 UTC, updated 15 Oct 2026 13:40 UTC) and the README downloaded from it; the launch devlog is dated 11 Oct 2026 (04:28 UTC). The page says “Skill for Claude” without naming a model, so the tool is recorded as Claude. “All original game code and assets AI Generated” is not recorded as a percentage, because the ROM also contains third-party SDK code. Versus is a local two-pad mode. Later devlogs (14 and 15 Oct 2026) add air and crouch blocking and combo breakers, and retune the music for original hardware. IP: the page says the game is not affiliated with Takara, Tamsoft or Sega and contains no original game code or assets; its engine re-implements data structures and control flow documented by mstan's BattleArenaToshindenRecomp, and the README maps its two bosses to the slots of Toshinden's Gaia and Sho. The fighters have their own names. No source mentions a licence from the rights holders. The rating was observed on the itch.io page on 4 Nov 2026 (UTC). No source code repository is linked. The ROM was not run.
