About Guess The Password

Guess The Password is a text-based puzzle game of 40 increasingly hard levels, each adding new rules that the password has to satisfy. The store page says some levels are so complex that players have built their own external tools to keep up, and the short description lists optional external tools alongside logic and reasoning. As you progress, strange messages hint that the puzzles are not just puzzles. Players who finish every level earn the right to add a new rule, which permanently expands the game for everyone else. The store page frames the game as made by an “AI committee gone rogue” (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) with one exhausted human tester. The developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was conceived with the help of ChatGPT, partially built with Perplexity and programmed using Claude Sonnet 4 and Gemini Pro, that they made it together, from the story and challenges to the localisation, and that the developer personally tested it thoroughly. US$2.99 on Steam for Windows and Linux since 3 Nov 2025, with a free demo, in 19 languages.

How it was built

Partially verified
ClaudePrimary

The developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was “programmed using Claude Sonnet 4 and Gemini Pro”, after being conceived with the help of ChatGPT and partially built with Perplexity: “In short, they all made it together — from the story and challenges to the localization and everything in between.” It does not say whether Claude was used through the chat app, Claude Code or another product, or how the programming was split between the two models.

GeminiSecondary

Gemini Pro is the second model the same disclosure names for programming the game. The product used is not stated.

Development approach

Per the Steam disclosure, ChatGPT helped conceive the game, Perplexity partly built it, and Claude Sonnet 4 and Gemini Pro programmed it; the AI tools also produced the story, challenges and localisation, and the developer tested it. No engine is named.

Verification notes: The tools come from the developer-written AI disclosure on the game's Steam page (re-read on 4 Nov 2026), which says the game was programmed using Claude Sonnet 4 and Gemini Pro; Claude and Gemini are recorded as named, without a product. ChatGPT (conceiving the game) and Perplexity (partly building it) are mentioned in the usage text only, because the disclosure ties neither to the code. The “AI committee gone rogue” lines on the store page are the game's framing. The rules added by players who finish the game are written by players; no source describes AI running during play. Release date, price, platforms and the 19 languages from the Steam store API, the demo date from the demo's own store entry; the review count from the store page on 4 Nov 2026. No website is listed; team size and location are not stated.
