About TERMies Duels
TERMies Duels is a head-to-head word game. You and an opponent get the same five-letter word and race to solve it. Solving it first lands a pull in a tug-of-war that drags your rival toward a pit; using up all six guesses hands them a free pull, so each board weighs speed against certainty, and hauling the rope all the way across sends the rival in. The developer describes it as turning "the word game you already know" into a head-to-head fight. Modes are Quick Match (a 1v1 against a real opponent), Ranked (a ladder of termite castes from Larva to an Apex leaderboard), Vs Bots at easy, medium and hard, Bracket for two to eight players, and Weekly Words, a daily word mode with global standings. The word pool has more than 1,000 answer words plus a full dictionary of valid guesses, with no repeats within a match, and the completed word is shown after every round. The store page promises no pay-to-win and "Cosmetics only". The developer's Steam AI disclosure says the game was coded with Claude Code and its assets generated by Claude.
