About Kartit Nitro
Kartit Nitro is a 3D kart racer that runs in the browser. You race three laps against six rivals and can drift and use nitro, with keyboard or touch controls. The developer, akartit, says in a DEV Community post that Claude Opus 5.5 wrote the code in Claude Code. The car model, music, sound effects and announcer lines were made with other AI tools before release. The game is free to play at kartit.net.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer says Claude Opus 5.5 in Claude Code wrote the code: 11 files and 2,506 lines, in a session of about 77 minutes on 23 September 2026. The developer says they read the code afterwards but did not write it.
Codex image generation made the car image, which TRELLIS turned into a 3D model. Music came from Lyria 3 Pro, sound effects from Lyria and the 14 announcer lines from Gemini 3.8 Flash text-to-speech. All of these are assets made before release; nothing is generated while you play.
Built from short prompts in one Claude Code session. Pre-made AI assets: the car (Codex image, converted to 3D with TRELLIS, wheels split off in Blender), music (Lyria 3 Pro), sound effects (Lyria) and announcer lines (Gemini TTS).
