About Trick or Treat Street
A Halloween block-puzzle game in the browser. You knock on a door and then solve a puzzle to see who answers: drag pieces onto an 8x8 board and fill rows and columns to clear them, and every cleared line reveals part of the picture hidden underneath. Each house has its own trick: pumpkin stones that block the board until their lines are cleared, cobwebs that must be cleared twice, a ghost that drifts from cell to cell, and darkness in which the piece in your hand is your only lantern. Cleared lines and visited houses pay out candy, and 5 candy buys a pumpkin torch that burns away a whole row and column at once. There are eight houses with eight characters; visiting them all opens the Witch's Mansion, and a gallery keeps everyone you have met. Progress saves automatically, and it plays on desktop and mobile. The developer, WookieBookie, says the code was written with an AI coding assistant, named in the jam submission as OpenCode running Claude Opus 5.5, and that the character illustrations were generated with Stable Diffusion-based models run locally and curated by the developer. The music is a CC0 track by tamesu. Made in Unity for AI Browser Game Jam 5 (theme: Torch); free to play in the browser on itch.io.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page says: “The code was written with an AI coding assistant.” The jam submission names the tools as “OpenCode on Claude Opus 5.5 Model”. OpenCode, an AI coding agent, is not in our tool list; Claude is recorded because the submission names Claude Opus 5.5 as the model. The character illustrations were generated with Stable Diffusion-based models run locally and curated by the developer.
- Developeritch.io page, AI disclosure: “The character illustrations were generated with AI (Stable Diffusion based models, run locally) and curated by the developer. The code was written with an AI coding assistant.” — itch.io
- OfficialJam rules: development must be heavily AI-assisted, with the majority of the game AI-generated. — itch.io (Focaccai)
The code was written with OpenCode running Claude Opus 5.5, and the character illustrations were generated with locally run Stable Diffusion-based models and curated by the developer. The game is built in Unity and exported to WebGL; the music is “Spooky Tune” by tamesu (CC0, from OpenGameArt) and the font is Inter (SIL Open Font License).

“The code was written with an AI coding assistant.”Verification notes: Gameplay, credits and AI use from the developer's itch.io page (published 30 Oct 2026, 19:42 UTC; status Released; HTML5; made with Unity) and the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page, both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. OpenCode is not in our tool list; Claude is recorded because the developer names Claude Opus 5.5 as the model. The sources give no code share, so no AI code share is recorded. The music (CC0) and font (SIL Open Font License) are credited third-party assets; no franchise or character is used, so no IP notice is recorded. The page script of the itch.io build contains stand-ins for Yandex Games platform functions (observed); no Yandex Games listing was checked. Voting was still in progress on 5 Nov 2026 (it ends on 7 Nov, 04:00 UTC), so no placement is recorded. On 5 Nov the submission page showed 3 jam ratings (observed; jam votes, not players or reviews, so not recorded as a metric). The Unity WebGL build (data, framework and code files) was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. Team size and location are not stated. itch.io shows no public rating and no download count. We did not play the game.
