About Trolley Curling
A small iPhone and iPad game that turns pushing a shopping trolley into a car-park sport. You pull back, aim with a trajectory preview and let go, sending the trolley across parody store car parks where it bounces off cars, dodges shoppers and skates over oil, and try to settle it in the middle of the trolley bay. Each lot is a fixed hole with a par, wind, wonky wheels and moving traffic; clean parks, bank shots and dead-centre finishes build streaks, and Game Center has achievements and a best-score leaderboard. On r/aigamedev the account u/Vheissu_ wrote that they built it with Claude Code and Codex: Claude handled the UI and GPT-5.5 (on its xhigh reasoning setting) much of the logic and functionality. Some assets come from Kenney's free packs, quite a lot is AI-generated, and the soundtrack was made with Suno, per the post. Free on the App Store with no in-app purchases listed; an Android version was in closed testing at the time.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe post says the game was built with Claude Code and Codex, and that the UI was handled by Claude “because it's better at UI”. The post names Claude Code in its opening line and then says only “Claude” for the UI work.
Per the post, GPT-5.5 on its xhigh reasoning setting handled a lot of the game's logic and functionality; the opening line names Codex as the second tool used to build the game.
Two coding agents split by strength, per the post: Claude Code for the interface and Codex (GPT-5.5) for much of the game logic. Assets mix Kenney's free packs with AI-generated art, and the West Coast-inspired soundtrack was made with Suno. The developer says getting the game approved on the iOS App Store was easy, while releasing on Android required 12 testers in closed testing first.

Verification notes: AI use from one post by u/Vheissu_ on r/aigamedev, read through an archived snapshot of the subreddit listing captured 10 Jul 2026 (the post's own snapshot failed to load; the original reddit.com URL was not checked). The post says “I built” and links this App Store listing. The link between the Reddit account and the App Store seller (Dwayne Collin Charrington, website rangefrontlabs.com.au) is not formally confirmed: the seller's site does not mention the game or link the account. The post names Claude Code and Codex, then attributes the UI to “Claude” and the logic to GPT-5.5; we map these to Claude Code and Codex as the opening line does. The post gives no code share and does not say whether anyone else worked on the game, so team size is left undisclosed. The store description calls the storefronts parodies; which real brands they parody was not checked. Release date, version history, price, requirements and languages from the US App Store page and Apple's lookup data; no in-app purchases are listed. The App Store showed too few ratings to display a score on 3 Nov 2026. No source mentions generative AI running in the app.

Game performance
Each figure measures something different — concurrent players, owners, downloads and sales are never interchangeable and are never added together. Labels show where each number comes from.
