About Факел / Torch
A short dark-survival game in English and Russian. The town has gone dark and you carry the last torch; one night lasts three to four minutes, and you have to survive until 06:00. Your flame burns down, so you pick up sticks and oil to keep it alive, and a bigger flame lights more of the street. Shadows fear the light, but every one that enters your glow eats a little of your fire. Braziers at the crossroads are safe islands that warm you (one extra life) and bring the dawn closer, but they burn down and need stoking as you pass. A flare burns nearby shadows at the cost of some flame, and twice a night the shadows come from all sides. Two players can share one keyboard: the Lantern carries the torch while the Hands gathers fuel and passes it over. The game is signed by CELLIO Games, and the page says the code, game design, balance and texts were written by Claude (Anthropic) directed by a human; the 3D models were made with Tripo 3D and the sound, narrator voices and music with ElevenLabs. Free in the browser on itch.io, with keyboard, mouse or touch; it was entered in AI Browser Game Jam 5.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page, under “How AI was used”, says the code, game design, balance and texts were written by an AI assistant (Claude, Anthropic) directed by a human; the light, fire, shadows, houses and ground textures are procedural, made by AI-written code. The AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission adds that the testing was done with an AI-written Playwright bot. No Claude model or app is named, and no share is given. Other AI tools made the assets: the 3D models of people, cars and props were generated with Tripo 3D and rendered in Blender, reused from the developer's earlier game The Unlit, and the sound effects, English and Russian narrator voices and music were made with ElevenLabs for this jam.

(…) Light, fire, shadows, houses and ground textures: procedural, AI-written code. Testing: AI-written Playwright bot.” — itch.io (AI Browser Game Jam 5, hosted by Focaccai)
Made for AI Browser Game Jam 5 (theme: Torch). Claude wrote the code, design, balance and texts under a person's direction, plus the procedural light, fire, shadows, houses and ground and a Playwright bot used for testing. The character, car and prop models were generated with Tripo 3D and rendered in Blender for the developer's earlier game The Unlit and reused here; sound effects, narrator voices and music were made with ElevenLabs during the jam. The fonts are Cormorant SC and IBM Plex Sans (Google Fonts, OFL). The browser build is a single HTML file drawing on a Canvas 2D, with the rendered sprites and audio as separate files (observed).

“Code, game design, balance, texts — written by an AI assistant (Claude, Anthropic) directed by a human.”Verification notes: AI use from the bilingual “How AI was used” section of the itch.io page and the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page, both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. Both credit Claude with the code; neither gives a share, so no AI code share is recorded. The itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text. The page signs the game “CELLIO Games”, and a developer reply on the jam page is signed “Yaroslav Bolonkin, CELLIO Games”; the page speaks of “our game”, but team size is not stated. The page is not fully consistent about the ground: one line says the ground textures are procedural, another that the sprites and ground textures were reused from The Unlit. Languages (English, Russian) from the page text. Publication (30 Oct 2026, 02:49 UTC) from the itch.io page. The engine is not named; the build is a single HTML file using Canvas 2D (observed), and it makes no calls to AI services; the ElevenLabs audio ships as files. Jam voting was still open on 5 Nov 2026 (it ends on 7 Nov), so no placement is recorded; the submission page showed 4 jam ratings (observed; not recorded as a metric). itch.io shows no public rating. The game was not played.
