About 楠木杏樹のやりなおし
A free Japanese adventure game for Windows that mixes a dating sim with resource management. Kusunoki Anju is the daughter of a feared yakuza family who moves to Tokyo for high school to become an ordinary girl, but ends up cast as a refined young lady instead. You keep three values in balance, martial spirit, grace and tension, so that her real self never shows, while growing closer to the girls around her; the developer modelled the two-choice balancing on Reigns. It takes about 40 minutes to play. The story, character designs and character sprites are by the developer, and the backgrounds, music and sound effects come from free asset sites. The credits list the program as written by Claude, and the novel-game framework it runs on, ヨモスガラ, as AI-made: in blog posts the developer, who calls themselves a non-engineer who knows some HTML and CSS, explains having Claude build the framework feature by feature after finding existing engines too hard, then writing the game in it in about two weeks.
How it was built
VerifiedThe game's credits on Freem! list the program as “Claude (AI)” and the game engine, ヨモスガラ, as AI-made. In a blog post the developer says existing novel-game engines such as TyranoScript and Ren'Py were too hard for them, so they discussed options with Claude, chose Markdown files for the scenario and JSON for the game's systems, wrote a short specification with Claude, and then had Claude implement the features in stages, from text, backgrounds and choices up to save/load, backlog, galleries and an in-game glossary, while they debugged and gave feedback. The developer says most of the work on the framework was patient bug fixing. The posts call it “Claude” without saying whether the chat app or Claude Code was used. The scenario and character sprites are the developer's own work.
- DeveloperDeveloper blog: the novel-game framework ヨモスガラ was built by Claude from a specification written together with Claude, with the developer debugging; the game was finished with it in about two weeks. — よあけのもり (blog)

Two steps, per the developer's blog. First, Claude built ヨモスガラ, a novel-game framework run as an Electron app, from a specification the developer worked out with Claude: scenarios are written in Markdown (the developer uses Obsidian) and the systems are set in JSON. Then the developer made the game with it from 27 Jul 2026: about 40 scenes written in Markdown, character sprites drawn by hand (about two and a half hours each), repeated debugging of framework bugs, and play-tests by four testers in turn. The developer says the game was nearly finished in about two weeks, not counting the time spent on the framework.

Verification notes: AI use from the credits on the Freem! page and two posts on the developer's own blog (4mori.chips.jp), whose game page links the Freem! listing and a BOOTH page; the Freem! creator page links the same site. The blog says the game was released on BOOTH first (post dated 11 Aug 2026), and Freem! shows it registered on 14 Aug and updated to version 1.01 on 15 Aug. BOOTH is not a platform we track. Which Claude product was used is not stated; the posts say only “Claude”. The engine is described as an Electron app built on HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the framework post. Credits: scenario and character design あかつきあけみ, backgrounds きまぐれアフター, music 甘茶, sound effects 効果音ラボ. Whether the team is one person is not stated outright, so team size is not recorded. The game was not run, and no source mentions AI running during play. Freem! shows no reviews yet.
Development history
The project starts, aimed at an end-of-August release; the developer had already had Claude build the ヨモスガラ framework.
