About Last Light
A 3D survival game played in the browser on a computer or a phone, in which your lantern is your health bar: it slowly fades, and the forest is full of skeletons that fear the light and grow stronger in the dark. Attacks are automatic, so you move and dodge, collect light from fallen skeletons and light the lanterns you find to make safe places. You choose one of four heroes: the Archer shoots from afar, the Knight fights up close in heavy armour, the Sorceress casts homing bolts and the Barbarian throws axes that come back like boomerangs. The night never ends and the skeletons keep getting stronger; each region (the Dark Forest and the Graveyard so far) has three quests that unlock the next. There are 225 items of gear in five qualities, two bosses who keep coming back stronger, fire, ice and lightning upgrades that evolve when combined, night events such as storms, fog, a hunt and falling stars, prisoners to free and chests to open, a shop with permanent upgrades, achievements, an encyclopedia and a Hall of Fame. The developer, Deny224, who says they are a beginner and cannot code, came up with the game and directed it, and says Claude wrote the code from those instructions while the developer tested every change; the 3D models and animations are CC0 KayKit packs by Kay Lousberg. The developer came up with the idea, the heroes, the gameplay, the balance and the look and tested every change, while Claude wrote the code from those instructions. The game began as a small 2D pixel-art game and was rebuilt in 3D step by step: first one hero and one enemy, then the forest, bosses, upgrades, the shop and more heroes. The 3D models and animations are CC0 KayKit packs by Kay Lousberg and the font is Cinzel (SIL Open Font License). The browser build bundles three.js 0.160.0 (observed) and makes no calls to AI services.

The sources say Claude wrote the code but give no percentage, so no AI code share is recorded. The developer does not say whether anyone else worked on the game, so team size is not recorded. Update 1.1 (devlog of 1 Nov 2026, 22:05 UTC) added the Barbarian, the regions and quests, the endless night and the 225 items; the launch version had three heroes and seven nights. The title is shared with other games; this record covers only Deny224's itch.io game. The boss names (Skeleton Warlord and Lich King) are as the page gives them.
