Rights holder / original work: Lara Croft (Tomb Raider; Crystal Dynamics / Embracer Group) and Crash Bandicoot (Activision)
The two heroes, Tara Loft and Smash Bandiboot, are parodies of Lara Croft and Crash Bandicoot, as the developer says in the Reddit post, adding that they are probably a bit too close to the originals and may be changed. The itch.io page calls the game a parody whose characters, places and names are original homages to the PlayStation era, not affiliated with or endorsed by any publisher or rights holder. No source shows a licence or permission from the rights holders. (Reddit (u/Xipha-Softworks))
VibeGameDB lists this game only to document that it was made with AI coding tools. We do not host it, we do not represent the rights holder, and listing it does not mean it is licensed.

About DEMO DISC SURVIVORS
DEMO DISC SURVIVORS is a 3D survivors-like roguelite made to look, sound and wobble like a lost PlayStation classic found on a 1998 magazine cover disc. Two parody heroes from the polygon era, Tara Loft with twin automatic pistols and Smash Bandiboot, who spins into a tornado and stomps enemies flat, drop into the Lost Vale, a fogged-in jungle that is rebuilt every run. Your weapons fire on their own; you move, jump and grab the spinning game discs that the horde drops as experience. Jumping is a real move: get high enough and the horde cannot touch you, though enemies climb after you. Level-ups offer upgrades on a spinning ring, with reset, eject, hold and skip options, weapons branch into A/B mods at levels 3 and 6, and crates from elites, bosses and mountain tops spin a slot reel for rewards. You can switch at any time between a top-down view and a behind-the-shoulder chase camera. The demo has one full 15-minute stage with two bosses at the 5- and 10-minute marks and a Final Swarm at 15. The look is deliberately PS1: wobbly vertices, warped textures, stepped 20-frames-a-second animation and dithered fog. The developer says it was mostly made using Claude Opus 5.5 in Godot, with Blender MCP helping with modelling and the two heroes built in Tripo3D; the itch.io page says the music and sound are CC0 or free-licensed. A free (name-your-own-price) demo in the browser and for Windows on itch.io.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn a post on r/aigamedev (18 Oct 2026, UTC) titled “… PSX style parody game (Opus 5.5 + Godot)”, the developer, who calls themselves fairly new to Claude and AI game development, writes that the game was “Mostly made using Opus 5.5 on Medium effort with Blender MCP to help with modelling.” The environments were first made in Blockbench and then in Blender, and the two playable characters were built in Tripo3D and textured in Blender, with a local model used for the characters still in production. The post does not say which Claude product ran Opus 5.5 or how much of the code it wrote. The itch.io page's AI disclosure ticks AI Assisted, Code, Graphics and Sounds.
- Developeritch.io AI disclosure: AI Assisted, Code, Graphics, Sounds; made with Godot. — itch.io
Per the developer, built in Godot and mostly made using Claude Opus 5.5 (medium effort), with Blender MCP helping with the 3D modelling. The level was made in Blender after a first version in Blockbench looked too basic; the two heroes were generated in Tripo3D and textured in Blender. The itch.io page says the music and sound are CC0 or free-licensed, with credits in the game.

“Mostly made using Opus 5.5 on Medium effort with Blender MCP to help with modelling.”Verification notes: The AI claim comes from the developer's post on r/aigamedev by u/Xipha-Softworks (18 Oct 2026, 23:47 UTC), read from the Arctic Shift Reddit archive; the post has the same name as the itch.io account and links this page. The post says the game was mostly made using Opus 5.5 and does not literally say the code; the itch.io AI disclosure ticks Code as well as Graphics and Sounds. Heroes, stage, bosses, mechanics, controls and the parody statement come from the itch.io page (published 18 Oct 2026, 23:09 UTC; updated 31 Oct 2026, 14:12 UTC; status In development; checked 4 Nov 2026), which also lists English as the language and a rating of 5.0 from 1 rating. The developer names Megabonk and Vampire Survivors as inspiration for the genre only. The page says a fuller game with more heroes, stages and permanent upgrades is planned. Team size and location are not stated. Nothing in the sources describes AI used during play. The game was not played.
