About Mini-Loot
A browser-based, turn-based auto-battler: pick one of three randomly generated fantasy characters, buy starting items with gold, then fight 24 battles of rising difficulty with upgrades and shops along the way. Developer Charles Berube says he tasked GPT 5.5 in Codex with building it, and that Codex produced plain HTML, JavaScript and CSS files with no libraries or build step. He compared it with attempts in Antigravity using Gemini and Claude, which he says did not reach a working game. It is free to play in the browser.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe developer says GPT 5.5 in Codex built the game from a single prompt, with the first iteration running in just under five minutes as three plain files (HTML, JavaScript, CSS). The same prompt given to Gemini and Claude in Antigravity never came together into something functional, per the developer.
Prompt-driven: one prompt given to GPT 5.5 in Codex, which wrote a plain HTML/JavaScript/CSS game with no libraries or build step.
