About Room 304
A point-and-click mystery set in one abandoned room, which you see one wall at a time. An anonymous letter slips under your door: “Flat 304. Come alone. You will understand.” The flat belonged to a painter named Daniel, who vanished after his wife Elena died, and everything left behind is a clue. You tap objects to examine them, press and hold fragile ones, select an item you carry and tap where to use it, and turn between the four walls with arrows; each wall is a stage that unlocks the next. Some numbers are hidden and change every playthrough, the room repeats with different words the second time, and a noise meter warns that something is listening. The game is available in English and Arabic. The developer, Mazen_dev550, credits Claude with all of the game code, the Arabic and English text and the puzzle design, while the room backgrounds and object art were generated with Gemini and then cropped, mirrored and placed by hand; the sound effects are simple tones generated in code. Made in 48 hours for Ctrl+AI+Jam Week 01 (theme: Leftovers; limitation: One Room); free in the browser on itch.io.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe AI Tools Used section of the itch.io page, repeated in the jam submission: “Claude (Anthropic): all game code, Arabic/English text, puzzle design.” The simple sound-effect tones are generated in code with the Web Audio API, and there is no music. No model and no interface (chat app or Claude Code) is named.
- DeveloperJam submission, Toolkit details: “Claude (Anthropic): all game code, Arabic/English text, puzzle design.” — itch.io (Ctrl+AI+Jam Week 01, hosted by khovanet and miffymiff)
- OfficialJam rule 3: the itch.io page must have an AI Tools Used section listing which tools were used and how. — itch.io (khovanet, miffymiff)
Gemini generated the room backgrounds and object art, which the developer cropped, mirrored and resized so the four walls match, placing every object by hand-tuned coordinates; the jam submission also lists Gemini as story writer. Not used for code, per the sources; no Gemini model is named.
Per the developer, Claude wrote all of the game code, the Arabic and English text and the puzzle design, and Gemini generated the room images and helped with the story. The developer cropped, mirrored and resized the wall images so the four walls match and placed every object by hand-tuned coordinates. Sound effects are simple tones generated in code with the Web Audio API; there is no music. The game's code is a single HTML file, which loads the wall and object images as separate PNG files (observed).

“Claude (Anthropic): all game code, Arabic/English text, puzzle design.”Verification notes: Story, controls, languages and AI use from the developer's itch.io page (published 12 Oct 2026, 04:55 UTC; status Released; HTML5; genre Puzzle; AI disclosure ticks Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text) and the toolkit details on the official Ctrl+AI+Jam Week 01 submission page, both re-read on 5 Nov 2026. The developer writes in the first person (“I cropped, mirrored and resized the wall images”) but does not say whether anyone else worked on the game, so team size is not recorded. The sources say Claude wrote all of the game code but give no percentage, so no AI code share is recorded. The jam (10 to 12 Oct 2026, 11:00 UTC, 48 hours; theme Leftovers, limitation One Room; 11 entries) requires fresh builds made during the window and an AI Tools Used section on the page. Its results show no overall rank; from 5 ratings the game placed #9 for Human Polish, #10 for AI Innovation and for Aesthetic Cohesion, and #11 for Fun Factor. The game uses the jam's three optional flavour cards (Roll the Dice, Déjà Vu, Don't Wake It). The single-file browser build was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. itch.io shows no public rating and no download count. Location is not stated. We did not play the game.
