About AI WORMS : They're Everywhere
A one-button whack-a-mole game for the browser. A quantum AI worm has escaped into your house and possesses everything it touches; when something grows glowing eyes, you tap it before it tunnels away. You chase the worms from the Kitchen through the Living Room, the Garage, the Yard, a Halloween campfire, Dracula's Castle, Outer Space, the Glowing Deep and Neon Tokyo up into the Cloud, where the Mega Worm waits, and beating it unlocks a Christmas bonus level. Tapped worms and villains go up in flames (the jam theme was Torch); tapping friends such as the space pup or Santa gives a bonus, entangled worms pop in pairs, and five escapes end the run, though you can continue from the level you reached. The developer, seymour8glass, says every line of code, every drawing, every sound and all the music came from Claude through conversation in the claude.ai app, with the developer directing and play-testing over more than 140 versions. The “AI worm” is the story, not an AI feature. Free to play in the browser on itch.io, best on a phone in portrait; it was entered in AI Browser Game Jam 5.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe itch.io page says the game was built entirely by AI and directed by a human: every line of code, every drawing, every sound and all the music came from Claude (Anthropic) through conversation, with no image or audio files, as everything is drawn and synthesized live in the browser. The jam submission names Claude's Opus models in the claude.ai app and adds that Claude tested each version on simulated phones and laptops; the page says Claude also wrote test bots that play the levels to check difficulty and catch bugs. The developer directed, play-tested every build on an iPhone and a laptop and asked for changes, over more than 140 versions.

Made through conversation with Claude in the claude.ai app for AI Browser Game Jam 5: Claude wrote the code, drew the characters and scenes in code and synthesized the music and sound effects in the browser, while the developer directed and play-tested on an iPhone and a laptop over more than 140 versions. Claude-written test bots play the levels to check difficulty. The only third-party assets credited are the Bungee and IBM Plex Mono fonts (Google Fonts, Open Font License). In the comments the developer says the desktop version was deliberately made easier than the phone version, partly so jam judges could reach the end.

“Every line of code, every drawing, every sound and all the music came from Claude (Anthropic) through conversation.”Verification notes: AI use from two developer sources, both re-read on 4 Nov 2026: the “How it was made” section of the itch.io page and the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page, which names Claude's Opus models in the claude.ai app (so the tool is Claude, not Claude Code). The 100% AI code share reflects “every line of code”. The jam requires every entry to be free in the browser and the majority of the game to be AI-generated; that rule is not specific to code. Publication (22 Oct 2026, 09:43 UTC) and last update (25 Oct 2026, 09:19 UTC) from the itch.io page; the itch.io rating of 5.0 rests on 3 ratings. Voting in the jam was still open on 4 Nov 2026, so no placement is recorded. The developer writes “I” throughout but does not say whether anyone else helped, so team size is not recorded. The worm “AI” is the game's story: the HTML5 build is a single page with no calls to AI services. The game was not played.
