Rights holder / original work: Real politicians named in the game (Zohran Mamdani, Abdul El-Sayed, Mike Rogers)

About Capitol Crashers
Capitol Crashers is a free cartoon beat-'em-up in the browser that its page calls independent political satire, with no campaign affiliation. You pick Mamdani or Abdul El-Sayed, fight through the streets and a TV studio and take on a cast of bosses with their own tricks, from couch rushes to Mike Rogers turning into “Florida Man”. You move between lanes, dodge, grab enemies, throw whatever comes to hand and help nearby neighbours, with light, heavy and special attacks and a jump. It plays with the keyboard, and touch controls are available on mobile. The page describes it as an evolving game still in development and asks players which encounter they played. It was created and directed by Tony for Political Arcades. In the jam submission the developer says all of the assets were made with Makko.ai, a tool the page says Tony owns, and that the coding was done by Claude and GPT. Free in the browser on itch.io; it was entered in AI Browser Game Jam 5.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe AI Tools Used answer on the jam submission reads “100% of the assets were made using https://Makko.ai, coding was done by Claude and GPT.” “GPT” is not specified further (it could mean ChatGPT, Codex or the API), and neither the Claude product nor any model is named, nor how the coding was split between the two. The itch.io page is less specific, saying the character art and animation use Makko.ai and that “development and other creative work use AI-assisted workflows”; its AI disclosure field lists AI Assisted, Code, Graphics, Sounds and Text.
Made by Political Arcades for AI Browser Game Jam 5 (theme: Torch); the page credits Tony with creating and directing it. The coding was done by Claude and GPT and all assets were made with Makko.ai, an AI art tool that the page says Tony owns, per the jam answer. In a jam comment the developer says the studio has more retro-style political satire arcade games on politicalarcades.com, all with art done in Makko.ai. The itch.io page marks the game as in development.

“100% of the assets were made using https://Makko.ai, coding was done by Claude and GPT.”Verification notes: Gameplay, controls and credits from the developer's itch.io page (published 27 Oct 2026, 18:40 UTC; updated 31 Oct 2026, 20:49 UTC; status In development; HTML5; genre Action); AI use from the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 5 submission page and the developer's replies there. All were re-read on 5 Nov 2026. The code attribution is a short credit naming two assistants (“coding was done by Claude and GPT”) with no share, so no AI code share is recorded; the itch.io page's wording is weaker (see conflicts). Because the page says Tony owns Makko, the AI art tool used for all assets, the game also showcases the developer's own tool. The listing is recorded as early access because the page marks the game as in development while the browser build is public. Comments on the jam page note that the build had no audio at the time. The game's JavaScript makes no calls to AI services. Submissions closed on 31 Oct 2026 and voting runs until 7 Nov 2026, 04:00 UTC, so no placement is recorded; on 5 Nov the submission page showed 9 jam ratings (observed; not recorded as a metric). itch.io shows no public rating and no download count. The game was not played.
