About EXIT ROUTE

A free single-player strategy game in the browser about trying to build a life abroad before time, money and hope run out. Each week you choose a move, such as studying, working side gigs, applying or resting, and each costs energy, money or time; random events push back, from visa-office delays and fake recruiters asking for upfront fees to a target country that refuses a document or suddenly expands hiring. Job offers can only come from week four on, visa friction differs by country, you can switch countries at the cost of your progress, and burning out ends the run, with advice on what to try next time. The developer, Ickmar, says the game is meant to capture the pressure of starting over in another country, with burnout, paperwork, unreliable recruiters and rising costs in place of monsters, so that every week feels like a meaningful trade-off. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Lovable, an AI app builder, as the tool. It finished 584th of 945 entries. Plays in desktop and mobile browsers.
