Its card art shows the series' characters; it was generated with ChatGPT, and the README says this fan art is excluded from the code's MIT licence and that the rights to the work and its characters belong to their holders. トランプのフリーレン (Frieren Playing Card) is a free, non-profit fan game of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End: a collection of card games played with a custom deck of playing cards featuring Frieren and friends. Against computer players you can play Sevens, Old Maid, Concentration, Blackjack, Doubt, five-card draw Poker and Daifugō, with options such as computer strength, jokers and Daifugō local rules (revolution, eight-cut and others); Klondike solitaire is for one player. Cards are dealt and fly across the table with animations, confetti marks a win, there are landscape and portrait layouts for PC and phones, and the game can be installed as a PWA; there is no music or sound. The developer, クリエイトゲーム (GitHub: koto2730), credits the game source as AI-generated by Claude and the card art as AI-generated with ChatGPT, and the README says the source was built only by instructing Claude Code in Japanese, with no fixes made by hand. Made with Godot 4.6; free in the browser on itch.io, with the source code on GitHub under the MIT licence (the card art is excluded). The interface is in Japanese.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe README's notes on making the game say the game source could be built with instructions alone: the developer gave Claude Code instructions in Japanese and fixed nothing by hand. The itch.io credits list “Game Source: AI Generated (Claude)”. The README also records lessons from the build, such as Godot not drawing text inside SVG files (so the card corner numbers are drawn by the game) and the need to bundle a Japanese font for the web version. No model is named.

The itch.io credits list “Game Art: AI Generated (ChatGPT)”. The README says making the cards took some effort, between generating the artwork images and generating an SVG for each card. Not used for code, per the sources.
Built in Godot 4.6 (Compatibility renderer) with GDScript, entirely by instructing Claude Code in Japanese, per the README; each card game is a script built on a shared GameBase class. The card faces are SVG files (52 cards, jokers and a back) with artwork generated with ChatGPT; the font is Noto Sans JP. The web export is a PWA. Source code under the MIT licence; the card art, fan art of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, is excluded from it.

The licence file names koto2730 as copyright holder. itch.io shows no publication date; the earliest dated item is the 8 Oct 2026 update, which added Blackjack and the dealing and confetti animations. The developer is pseudonymous; the itch.io page and devlog are signed クリエイトゲーム (X: @_wheat_scope) and the README is written as the developer's own notes. The same itch.io account has other Frieren fan games (chess, tactics, pinball, reversi) and a city-building game that are not in this database. The Godot web build (index.pck) was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. Repository stars were not checked (github.com was not reachable from our checker). Location is not stated beyond the Japanese-language pages. We did not play the game.
