About GhostNN

A 3D puzzle game in the browser in which a ghost is trapped inside a neural network. Each stage is a maze of nodes joined by glowing lines: you click a node connected to your current position to travel there, collect all the keys to unlock the exit, then reach the exit node to clear the stage. Brighter lines are connections you can take, dimmer ones show connections that are visible but not directly reachable, and the camera can be rotated, panned and zoomed. Every level has a seed ID that can be copied, entered from the main menu and shared with others. The developer, FailedStalker, made it with their wife for the AI Browser Game Jam (theme Ghost in the Machine): they decided on the concept together, and the developer writes that Claude Opus 4.5 created and updated the files from their direction and that “mostly everything was written from AI”. The ghost was generated with Hunyuan 3D and then cleaned, rigged and animated in Blender by the developer's wife; sound effects come from ElevenLabs, music from Suno and the icons from ChatGPT. It ranked 8th overall in the jam, from 3 ratings. Free in the browser on itch.io with a mouse; touch controls are described but, per the developer, untested.

How it was built

Partially verified
ClaudePrimary

Under “Coding” the developer names Claude Opus 4.5 and writes: “I would indicate what we wanted and it would update/make files as needed.” The developer directed it, tested, requested new features and cleaned up very minor bugs by hand, and added scenes, assets and some project configuration in Godot manually, “mostly as directed through the AI”; the summary line is “mostly everything was written from AI”. Which Claude product or interface was used is not stated. The same text appears on the itch.io page and as the AI Tools Used answer on the jam submission page.

Development approach

Made in Godot for the AI Browser Game Jam, whose rules required at least 50% AI-generated work and a free browser game. The concept was decided by the developer and their wife; Claude Opus 4.5 wrote and updated the project files from their direction, and the developer added scenes and assets in the editor. The ghost model was first generated with Hunyuan 3D, then cleaned up, rigged and animated in Blender by the developer's wife; the other physical objects are mostly built in code or are Godot's default objects. Sound effects were generated with ElevenLabs and music with Suno.

Verification notes: AI use and team from the “How This Game Was Made” section of the itch.io page and the identical AI Tools Used answer on the official jam submission page, both re-read on 6 Nov 2026. The jam rule (“50% or more was AI-generated”) is not code-specific, so it is not counted as evidence; the evidence is the developer's own statement that mostly everything was written by AI. “Mostly everything” is not a share, so no AI code percentage is recorded. Team size two: the developer writes that “my wife and I” decided on the concept and that the wife made the ghost model; no names or location are given. The jam ran from 20 Feb 2026, 19:00 to 10 Mar 2026, 04:00 (UTC); the submission page said the game was submitted 1 day and 4 hours before the deadline. Results (3 ratings): 8th overall (2.887 adjusted, 3.333 raw), 5th in Audio, 7th in AI Usage, 9th in Graphics and 12th in Fun; the jam page counts 29 entries and lists 25 submissions. itch.io shows status In development, HTML5, genre Puzzle and made with Godot, with no publication date and no rating. The developer lists plans (an Android release, leaderboards, camera and scoring fixes) that are not yet in the game. The research note on the Godot web build found no calls to AI services (the only outside addresses are the Suno song links in the audio metadata). The game was not played.
