About 群侠传:幸存者
群侠传:幸存者 (Qunxia Survivor) is a survivors-like action roguelite set in the world of wuxia. You pick a character, sect and martial style and hold out for 20 waves; your Outer Arts fire on their own in the order you arrange them, while you move and dash out of danger. Between waves you train attributes, buy martial arts manuals and items, and combine arts from the same sect or style for Resonance bonuses. The Early Access build has 153 martial arts, 247 items and 55 enemy types from 8 factions. On the Steam page the solo developer, Nenly Studio, says most of the code, art, animation and music was made with AI tools, naming Codex and Claude Code for programming, while the design, balance and game feel are the developer's own. It is free in Early Access on Steam for Windows, and the developer expects to keep it free after full release.

How it was built
VerifiedIn the developer's note on the Steam page, the solo developer says most of the code, art, animation and music was created with AI tools, naming Codex and Claude Code for programming. In the AI disclosure on the same page, the developer says they cannot write code and have never been trained in art or music; both texts say the design, balance and game feel are the developer's own, tuned over hundreds of playtests. Which tool did which part, and which models were used, is not stated. The same note credits GPT-IMAGE-2 and Nano Banana for characters, environments and UI, Seedance for animation, Suno for music and ElevenLabs for voices and sound effects.
- DeveloperSteam AI disclosure: parts of the code were written with the help of AI coding tools; some character, environment and UI art, animation, music and sound effects were also made with AI; the game contains no live-generated AI content. No tool is named there. — Steam
Named with Codex as the programming tools in the developer's note on the Steam page.
One-person development: the developer says there is just one human on the team. Having played games for almost twenty years, the developer first opened a game engine in April 2026 and released this, their first game, into Early Access on 11 August 2026. Programming was done with Codex and Claude Code, and most art, animation, music, voices and sound effects with other AI tools; the developer handles design, balance and game feel. The later Traditional Chinese and English translations (October 2026) were done by the developer's AI agent, per the patch notes. Nothing is generated by AI during play.

“Most of the code, art, animation, and music was created with AI tools: Codex and Claude Code for programming; GPT-IMAGE-2 and Nano Banana for characters, environments, and UI; Seedance for animation; Suno for music; and ElevenLabs for voices and sound effects.”Verification notes: AI use from two developer-written parts of the game's own Steam page: the “From the Developer” section (Codex and Claude Code for programming) and the AI disclosure. Solo development, the April 2026 start and the free pricing plan from the same page. Release date, price (free), platform (Windows) and languages from the Steam store API; review figures from the store page (the review API returned nothing when checked). The Steam title is the Chinese original in every store language, including Traditional Chinese, so no official Traditional Chinese title exists; the English name Qunxia Survivor is used in the developer's English store text. The engine is not named. The 100,000-player milestone in the developer's store note is the developer's own figure and is kept in the history, not as a metric. The developer's Bilibili page (the website listed on Steam) renders client-side and was not read, and no press coverage was found.
