About Roomba Wars
A multiplayer 3D arena game in the browser in which every player is a robot vacuum. In five-minute matches you drive around a home vacuuming up dirt, ram other vacuums and steal their loot, and when time runs out the player with the most dirt wins. Power-ups include a shield, a sprint boost, a lightsaber and a stronger-suction upgrade. Before a match you pick a colour and a skin; the skins include internet memes, a cartoon character and real people. The title uses the Roomba trademark of iRobot, and several skins and posters use third-party characters, logos and photos (see the IP note). The entrant says the idea came from a robot vacuum at home going rogue and wrecking plants. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the submission lists Cursor as the tool. It finished 39th of 945 entries. Free; the game says it plays best on desktop, and phones must be held in landscape.
How it was built
VerifiedIn the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists Cursor as the tool and answers Yes to the AI-written field. No devlog describes how Cursor was used or which model ran it, and the submission covers the jam version only.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on Three.js, with Cursor named as the tool. A small start-up module paints the menu first and then loads the main game bundle; matches run over a WebSocket connection to the game's own server. Skins, props and posters ship as 3D model and image files with the game.

“My roomba constantly going full psy-op rogue and destroying my plants.”Verification notes: Tool (Cursor), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer, mobile and portal flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 11 Apr 2026, 06:39 UTC; final rank 39 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. Gameplay facts come from the game page (“multiplayer 3D roomba chaos. vacuum dirt, ram enemies, steal their loot.”) and the game's code (five-minute matches, “Time's up — most dirt wins”, power-ups). The game page names no developer and no developer-owned page was found that links the game: the name comes from the X profile @thijsmakes given in the jam data (display name Thijs, location Leiden, bio “I make things”); the two sites it links, usebard.com and mofoban.com, do not mention the game. Surname, team size and the rest of the location are not stated. The skin list in the code is rick rubin, levelsio, pigeon, doge, pepe, patrick and classic; the skin images we checked show a photo of the record producer Rick Rubin, Pepe the Frog, the Doge meme dog and Patrick Star from SpongeBob SquarePants, and the image files include two Robot Wars posters with that show's logo. The suction power-up is titled “Dyson” in the power-up slot (model file dyson.glb), and another power-up is titled “Lightsaber”. The game's scripts were checked on 4 Nov 2026 and make no calls to AI services. The jam page's widget counters showed 737 plays and 1,244 portal transfers for roomba-wars.com on 4 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as metrics). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 11 Apr 2026.
