Grow potatoes for five days in a blocky world with Astra, an AI robot that is scared of anything green, and fend off the exploding Green Things. The README says Claude Code built it.

Rights holder / original work: Minecraft (Mojang Studios / Microsoft)
The README calls the game an unofficial fan-made work inspired by an incident from a stream in which an AI played Minecraft (an AI whose base was blown up by a Creeper went on to grow potatoes for hours). It notes that Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios and says the game is unaffiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft and OpenAI and uses none of their names or assets; its blocks, characters and sounds are generated in its own code, and we found no Minecraft names in the game's files. No source shows a licence. (GitHub)
VibeGameDB lists this game only to document that it was made with AI coding tools. We do not host it, we do not represent the rights holder, and listing it does not mean it is licensed.

About アストラのじゃがいも畑
アストラのじゃがいも畑 (Astra's Potato Farm) is a free first-person farming game for the browser, set in a world made of blocks. Astra, a gentle AI robot, lost everything it had collected when a green thing blew up its chest, and has grown potatoes ever since; it is so scared of green that sugarcane and watermelons startle it. For five days you farm with Astra: harvest ripe potatoes, replant, till grass into new plots (plots near water grow better) and meet each day's harvest target. What “Use” does depends on what you hold: a hoe tills, a potato plants, dirt fills craters and gunpowder works as fertiliser. Now and then a Green Thing turns up and hisses before it explodes; hit it to drive it off, or it blows a hole in the farm and sends Astra flying. Defeated Green Things drop gunpowder. Astra works the farm by day and sleeps at night, so the night shift is yours, and something big arrives on the fifth night. Clearing the five days unlocks an endless potato mode, and turning off the Green Thing guide leaves you with only sound and instinct. It plays with keyboard and mouse, a gamepad or touch, in Japanese or English. The README calls it an unofficial fan-made work inspired by an incident from a stream in which an AI played Minecraft (an AI whose base was blown up by a Creeper went on to grow potatoes for hours), says it is unaffiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft and OpenAI, and says it uses none of their names or assets. The README credits planning and direction to the developer, たぬ (tanuu5), and development to Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, reasoning level XHIGH). Block textures, characters, sound effects and music are all generated in code, with no image or audio files. Free on the developer's GitHub Pages site; the code is MIT-licensed.
How it was built
VerifiedThe README credits planning and direction to たぬ and development to Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, reasoning level XHIGH), and says Claude Code took the voxel island, light and shadow, the models of Astra and the Green Things, and the sound effects and music from design through implementation. Claude captured scenes in headless Chrome on a real GPU to look at and fix them, and had an automatic player play through all five days to check that the game works. The points たぬ noticed while playing (how the sky is drawn, filling and tilling being easy to confuse, the post-clear mode and the guide setting) were fixed as they came up.
- DeveloperDeveloper's note post of 8 Oct 2026: six browser works, アストラのじゃがいも畑 among them, were made with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) and published on GitHub between 3 and 7 Oct 2026. — note (たぬ / tank_ai)
Directed by one developer, with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, XHIGH) doing design, code and testing. Built with three.js and Vite and published to GitHub Pages by GitHub Actions. Blocks, pixel-art textures, terrain, lighting, characters, sound effects and music are generated in code; the only external resource is the DotGothic16 font, loaded from Google Fonts. A development hook allows frame stepping and jumping to a given day for testing.

Verification notes: AI use, features, controls, languages, licence (MIT) and release date (2026-10-07, from the README's update history) come from the developer's repository README, read through raw.githubusercontent.com on 5 Nov 2026; the README links the play address, which loaded that day. The README describes the game as an unofficial fan-made work inspired by an incident from an AI-plays-Minecraft stream, notes that Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios, and states that the game is unaffiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft and OpenAI and uses none of their names or assets; the blocky world and the exploding green enemy are the game's own code-generated designs, and we found no Minecraft names in the game. The note post of 8 Oct 2026 says the batch was made with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) and that this game also runs on smartphones. The bundled script contacts no AI services. The repository's stars and commit history were not checked (github.com was not reachable from our checker). Team size and location are not stated.
