About Bees vs Wasps

A 3D flying arcade game in the browser. You steer a bee over a meadow, collect flowers and bring them back to the hive while dodging angry wasps, using a boost to get out of trouble and a compass that points home. As the levels rise, honeycomb and extra lives appear, and from levels 12 and 15 deadlier species join in, the tarantula hawk and the executioner wasp. The developer, Henry Taylor-Gill (alexismediaco), says the idea started from the Fibonacci sequence, which led to sunflowers and then bees; the wasps first spawn in Fibonacci numbers before being capped. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the submission lists Claude Code as the tool. It finished 48th of 945 entries. Free, single-player or multiplayer, on desktop and on phones held in landscape; it needs a browser with WebGPU.

Supporting evidence
Development approach

Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 on Three.js with its WebGPU renderer, with Claude Code named as the tool. The page credits several CC BY 3D models (trees, a bush, honeycomb and a honey wand) from Poly Pizza, so those assets were not AI-made. Multiplayer runs through the game's own WebSocket server.

“Above all, something that's intuitive and that you can jump into right away, and that will keep you playing.”

Verification notes: Tool (Claude Code), engine, genre, pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer and mobile flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 14 Apr 2026; final rank 48 of 945 entries, no award); rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. The level details (honeycomb, extra lives, tarantula hawk and executioner wasps at levels 12 and 15, Fibonacci spawning) are the entrant's own description. Developer: the menu credits “alexismediaco / Henry Taylor-Gill for Vibe Jam 2026” and links alexismedia.co, which lists the game in its project gallery; the X profile @alexismediaco links the same site. Team size and location are not stated. The page says it needs WebGPU (iOS 18.2 or later on iPhone, or recent Chrome or Edge) and asks phone players to rotate to landscape. The 3D model credits are in the page source. The game's code talks only to its own game server, a CDN for libraries and the jam widget; no calls to AI services were found. The jam page's widget counter showed 220 plays on 3 Nov 2026 (observed; sessions, not players or downloads, so not recorded as a metric). The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 14 Apr 2026.
