Rights holder / original work: Clawd, the Claude Code mascot (Anthropic)
The dancing character is Clawd, the mascot of Anthropic's Claude Code. The README says the SVG Clawd in the repository is fan art, not an official asset, that the name and the character belong to Anthropic, and that the character is not covered by the MIT licence of the code. No source shows permission from Anthropic. (GitHub)

About Clawd 7/8
Clawd 7/8 is a free rhythm game for the browser: notes come down a four-lane 3D highway and you hit them with D, F, J and K (or the arrow keys) or by tapping the lanes, while Clawd, the mascot of Anthropic's Claude Code, dances to the beat at the side. The single song, “Seven Claws”, lasts about 80 seconds and moves from 7/8 through 10/8 to 13/8 time; it is synthesised live with Web Audio rather than played from a file, and the charts are generated from the song's own kick, snare, melody and arpeggio events. The tunnel at the far end has as many corners as the current time signature has beats. There are three difficulties, four timing grades up to a maximum score of 1,000,000, ranks from S to D, a personal best saved in the browser and an audio delay setting for Bluetooth earphones. The README credits the production to Claude (Anthropic), model Claude Opus 5.5, made with Claude Code; the developer, たぬ (tanuu5), describes it as one of five browser works made on the day Opus 5.5 came out. Clawd appears as unofficial fan art. In Japanese, free on the developer's GitHub Pages site; the code is MIT-licensed, the character is not.
How it was built
Partially verifiedThe README's credits read “制作:Claude(Anthropic)” (made by Claude, Anthropic), with the model Claude Opus 5.5 used through Claude Code. In a note post the developer says the rhythm game was made with Claude Code on the day Opus 5.5 came out (Japan time), from a short request asking for a Three.js rhythm game with tap and key controls, a score display, Clawd dancing at the side and a stylish song in an odd time signature, and that all five works in the post publish code that Claude made. The developer adds that building the whole rhythm game, plus other work, used about a tenth of the five-hour usage window on the Max 5x plan.
- DeveloperDeveloper's note post of 23 Sep 2026: the castle scene and the rhythm game were made with Claude Code; all five works publish code that Claude made on GitHub Pages and use no image or audio files. — note (たぬ / tank_ai)
- DeveloperThe game's title screen credits “制作:Claude(Opus 5.5)”. — たぬ (tanuu5)
Made with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) from a short request by the developer. The whole game is one index.html with no build step; it draws the highway with Three.js r128 loaded from cdnjs and synthesises the synths, drums, reverb and delay with the Web Audio API, using a look-ahead scheduler. The charts are generated from the song's events rather than written by hand. Per the README, the Clawd in the repository is an SVG fan-art version, not an official asset.

- Developer's note post on the five works made on Opus 5.5's release day (Japanese)
Verification notes: Credits, features, tech stack and licence come from the developer's repository README, read through raw.githubusercontent.com on 4 Nov 2026; the README links the play address, which loaded that day, and the title screen repeats the credit and the fan-art note. The tool (Claude Code), the request and the usage remark come from the developer's note post of 23 Sep 2026 (published 18:00 JST), which also says Clawd was set up as fan art because, in the developer's words, Opus 5.5 refuses otherwise. The exact release date is not stated; the note says it was made on Opus 5.5's release day in Japan time, and it was public by the time the note was published. The page's script loads only Three.js from cdnjs and Google Fonts and calls no AI services. The repository's stars and commit history were not checked (github.com was not reachable from our checker). Team size and location are not stated.
Development history
Introduced in the developer's note post as one of five browser works made with Claude Opus 5.5 on its release day (Japan time).
