About Deer Diplomacy
A 3D stealth puzzle game in the browser set in Nara Deer Park in Japan. You play a tourist with a few senbei rice crackers: walk up to a deer, hold a bow, wait while it watches you, and when it bows back, feed it. Once the herd notices you have food it turns on you, and you can raise your hands to calm an angry deer while you try to reach the exit with crackers to spare. The game has a short campaign of levels such as The Bridge, The Courtyard, The Festival and The Shrine Steps, a randomised daily challenge and per-level leaderboards, and it plays with WASD and keys on a computer or an on-screen joystick on phones. The entrant explains that the real deer in Nara bow back when tourists bow to them, and that the game turns this into a stealth puzzle in which every bow is a 1.5-second window of vulnerability; the page footer says it was built after a trip to Nara. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool. It finished 419th of 945 entries. Free in the browser.
