About PEGPOINT!

A pixel-art arcade peg shooter in the browser: you aim and drop a ball onto boards of coloured pegs, bumpers and portals and try to clear the target pegs with a limited number of balls. The game's page describes 99 levels, 25 power-ups and a daily challenge, and the entrant adds that the daily puzzle is seeded and has a leaderboard. The entrant calls it Peggle-inspired and says it is an attempt to bottle the joy of PopCap's puzzle games and of the SNES and Game Boy pixel art they grew up with. The footer reads “CREATED BY ANDREW MEAUX X CLAUDE”. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool, and it finished 276th of 945 entries. Free in the browser, on desktop or phone.

Supporting evidence
Development approach

Built for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026 with Claude Code named as the tool. The entrant gives the engine as custom: vanilla JavaScript with Canvas 2D for the game and a React shell for the interface. Comments in the page say the home-screen icons are composed from the game's own sprites by a build script.

Verification notes: Tool (Claude Code), engine, genre (Puzzle), pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer (No), mobile (Yes) and portal (Yes) flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 30 Apr 2026, 08:35 UTC; final rank 276 of 945 entries, no award), re-read on 5 Nov 2026; rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. The 99 levels, 25 power-ups and daily challenge are the game page's own description and the entrant's pitch; they were not counted. Peggle and PopCap are named by the entrant as inspiration; the game uses its own name and pixel art, and no Peggle names or assets were found in the page, so no IP notice is recorded. Developer: the footer names Andrew Meaux and the jam entry gives the X handle meaux247; the page links no social account, so the tie between the two rests on the jam entry and the name. No location or team size is given. The game's code was checked for calls to AI services and none were found. The jam page's widget counters showed 235 plays and 199 portal transfers for pegpoint.io on 5 Nov 2026 (observed; plays are sessions, not players or downloads, so neither is recorded as a metric). The game was not played. The release date is not stated; the jam submission is dated 30 Apr 2026.
