About FLUTE - Charge your glasses
A short browser puzzle game about pouring champagne. Each round gives you a bottle that holds exactly enough for the table, and you have to fill every glass to the same level by eye before the toast: there are no fill lines, no numbers and no undo, and every drop you over-pour is missing from a glass further down. Pouring fast raises a head of foam that sits above the true level and settles over a couple of seconds, and some glasses are wide coupes rather than flutes, so the same measure sits at a very different height; a briefing shows the measure in each shape before the round starts. You steer the bottle with the mouse and hold the button to tilt and pour. The title plays on the jam theme, Charge!: you charge glasses before a toast, “Chargez !” is a French cavalry cry, and “flûte” is both a champagne glass and a mild French curse. It was made for AI Browser Game Jam 4, where it placed 11th overall out of 123 entries. The credits give design and direction to the developer, Justin, and the code to Claude Code (Opus); the art is drawn by code at runtime, the sound effects are synthesized in the browser, and the music was made with Gemini and edited in Audacity. Later updates added a second act, an endless mode and better phone support. Free in the browser.
How it was built
VerifiedThe credits on the itch.io page and in the game give the code to Claude Code (Opus) and design and direction to the developer, Justin; the in-game credits add that the game is vanilla JavaScript on HTML5 canvas with no engine or libraries. The art is drawn by that code at runtime and the sound effects are synthesized with WebAudio, so there are no image or audio files. The music is credited “feat. Gemini” and was edited by hand in Audacity; Gemini is not a tool we track. The game's PROMPTS screen reproduces the prompt that started the project and the music prompts. Which Opus version was used, and whether any code was written by hand, is not stated.

Made for AI Browser Game Jam 4 (theme: Charge!). The developer wrote the design and direction and Claude Code wrote the code, in vanilla JavaScript on HTML5 canvas with no engine or libraries; the bottles, glasses and table are drawn procedurally at runtime and the sound effects are synthesized in the browser. The in-game credits also thank Rachael, credited with gameplay structure collaboration and French language help, and name the music as three tracks made with Gemini and edited in Audacity. The fonts are Parisish and Lancelot (SIL Open Font License). Four devlog updates followed during the jam window: phone support and what the developer calls “le grande service”, a second act and music, an endless mode, and better phone controls.

“One word, three meanings, and all of them are the game.”Verification notes: Tool from three developer sources: the credits on the itch.io page, the credits inside the game, and the AI Tools Used answer on the official AI Browser Game Jam 4 submission page (“Claude, Gemini”; the credits name the product as Claude Code). The jam allows AI for anything and requires the majority of each game to be AI-generated. Placement from the official results page: 11th overall out of 123 entries (score 3.692 from 13 ratings); rating ran from 18 Aug to 1 Sep 2026. The itch.io page shows no publish date; the release date is taken from the submission page, which says the game was entered 8 days and 8 hours before the 18 Aug 03:00 UTC deadline (9 Aug 2026), the same day as the first devlog post. The page names one person, Justin, for design and direction, and the in-game credits also credit Rachael for gameplay structure and French language help, so team size and the studio's make-up are not recorded. The game's code was checked: its only network request loads the music files, and no calls to AI services were found. The game is in English with French phrases as flavour; no language setting was found. itch.io shows no download counts for browser games.
