About 2048 Classic: Number Puzzle
A version of the classic 2048 sliding-number puzzle for iPhone and iPad: swipe to slide every tile, merge equal numbers and aim for 2048 and beyond. It offers three boards (a quick 3×3, the classic 4×4 and a long 5×5), one-tap undo, a swap-two-tiles helper, auto-save, light and dark mode, Game Center leaderboards and shareable result cards, and it plays offline with no account. The developer, Sunil Targe, an iOS engineer in Taipei who makes indie apps alone, calls it a native iOS 2048 variant. In a post on r/ClaudeAI they say Claude Code scaffolded the game model (moving, merging and spawning tiles, scoring, undo and saving), wrote the SwiftUI views and animations, wired up the ads, in-app purchase and Game Center code and built the share-card renderer, while the developer drove spacing, motion feel, final polish and product decisions: “Bones from Claude, finish from me.” Free with banner ads and a one-time purchase to remove them.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn a post on r/ClaudeAI the developer says they shipped the game using Claude Code over a few weekends. Claude Code scaffolded the whole game model (the move, merge and spawn pipeline, score and best-score tracking, one-level undo with state snapshots and saving to UserDefaults), which the developer puts at probably 60% of the actual code; wrote the SwiftUI views for the tile grid, gestures and animations; did the third-party integration (AdMob, RevenueCat for the in-app purchase, Game Center, App Tracking Transparency); built the share-card renderer; and helped write the CLAUDE.md and DESIGN.md files loaded into every session. The developer says they handled spacing, hierarchy and the feel of motion (rejecting four of five versions of the “+N” score chip), the final polish and the product decisions.
- DeveloperThe developer's website says the developer is focused on indie apps with Claude Code as their daily driver, and, describing the developer's self-employed work since September 2025, lists Claude Code for code generation, test scaffolding and self-debugging loops; it does not say which apps each tool was used on (a November 2025 Reddit post linked from the site is titled as building another of the developer's apps with Cursor). — suniltarge.com
Feature-by-feature work with Claude Code, per the developer's post: CLAUDE.md (conventions, build commands, file structure) and DESIGN.md (colour, radius, spacing and motion tokens) were written before any feature code and loaded into every session; each feature went on its own branch with one pull request so diffs stayed reviewable; sessions were scoped tightly; and xcodebuild was trusted over the editor's error markers. The developer says Claude supplied the bones and they supplied the finish: design judgement, motion feel, the confetti, streak pill and share-card layout, and what to ship or cut.

“Bones from Claude, finish from me.”Verification notes: AI use from the post by u/suniltarge on r/ClaudeAI, read through a mirror snapshot captured 9 May 2026 (the original reddit.com URL was not checked); the post links this App Store listing. The username matches the developer's name, and the developer's website (the App Store seller website) links the same app and names Claude Code as the developer's daily driver, but the site does not link this post or name the Reddit account (its Reddit section links four of the developer's other posts, whose author was not checked), so the tie between the account and the seller rests on the name and the matching links. “Probably 60% of the actual code” is attached in the post to the game model that Claude Code scaffolded; it can be read as the model's share of the code or as Claude's share, and the post also credits Claude with the views, integrations and share card, so no AI code share is recorded. The developer drove design and polish, so the game is listed as AI-assisted. The app was first released on 20 Nov 2025 and the post came about six months later, so it is not clear whether Claude Code was used from the first version (see conflicts). Solo development from the developer's website. Release date, version history, price, in-app purchase, requirements and languages from the US App Store page and Apple's lookup data. The App Store showed 4.6 out of 5 from 9 ratings on 3 Nov 2026 (observed; there is no App Store rating metric, so it is not recorded as one). The developer's website links the app under a URL slug reading 2048-brain-training-game, possibly an earlier name; not confirmed. A commenter asked whether the code was copied from common 2048 implementations; no answer appears in the snapshot. No source mentions generative AI running in the app.

- The post (early May 2026) says the game was shipped with Claude Code “over a few weekends”, and its title says “over a weekend”, but the App Store lists the first release on 20 Nov 2025 and more than 15 updates before the post. The post may describe the original build or the April 2026 redesign; it does not say. (Reddit (via reddit.sentinel-team.org archive), Apple App Store)
