About Alpenwelt: Ski Resort Tycoon
Alpenwelt: Ski Resort Tycoon is a free 3D management game for desktop browsers in which you build and run a ski resort in the Alps. According to the developer's post, it has more than 50 buildings, all drawn in code; avalanches, whiteout storms and snow piling up on roads and trees; snowcats grooming the pistes at night; helicopter rescues; ski buses, snow ploughs and delivery trucks on the roads; skiers who pick their own runs and queue at the lifts; five kinds of lifts; and several valleys and glaciers with 20 levels of unlocks, wages and bookings. The game page adds map overlays for slope steepness, piste conditions, crowding, hotel occupancy, snow-cannon coverage, ski-patrol cover and avalanche risk, a night shift, and a first-person mode for skiing a piste yourself. It is built for a mouse and keyboard; on a phone the page warns that the 3D world runs too slowly. The developer, posting as u/Suspicious-Month-910 on r/aigamedev, says they had wanted to make a ski resort tycoon game since childhood but never learned to code, started building it in June 2026 with Claude Code and Three.js, and has not written any of its 108,000 lines themselves. Free at alpenwelt-tycoon.com, with no download. In English.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn a post on r/aigamedev (29 Aug 2026, UTC) the developer says they never learned to code and started building the game in June 2026 “with Claude Code and Three.js”, adding: “It's 108k lines now and I still haven't written any of it myself.” The post title says the game was built “with Claude and Three.js”; the body names Claude Code. No model or workflow details are given.
Prompt-driven development with Claude Code since June 2026 by a developer who does not write code, per the Reddit post; about 108,000 lines by late August 2026. The game is a Three.js web page (the page itself says it loads Three.js from a CDN), with all buildings drawn in code according to the developer.

“Started building one in June with Claude Code and Three.js. It's 108k lines now and I still haven't written any of it myself.”Verification notes: AI use and the feature list come from the developer's post on r/aigamedev by u/Suspicious-Month-910 (29 Aug 2026, 17:25 UTC), read from the Arctic Shift Reddit archive on 5 Nov 2026; it links alpenwelt-tycoon.com. The overlays, night shift, first-person skiing and the desktop-only warning come from the game page, which loaded on 5 Nov 2026. The site names no developer, and no release date is given; the game was public by the date of the post. “None of it written myself” is the developer's wording; no AI code share is recorded. A second Reddit account, u/dark_phantom563, posted a link to the same site on r/aigamedev on 4 Sep 2026 under the German title “Habe ein Alpen Resort Simulator mit Claude programmiert” (“programmed an Alps resort simulator with Claude”) with no text; whether this is the same person is not known, so it is not used as a source. The page's scripts (about 17 MB, loaded on 5 Nov 2026) contain no calls to OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter or Groq. The post had a score of 183 on Arctic Shift (observed; not a metric). Team size and location are not stated. The game was not played.
