About Hegemon's Reach

A free real-time settlement and economy game in the browser. From a central warehouse you place woodcutters, stonecutters, mines, farms, a windmill and a bakery, and carriers move goods along production chains you design; houses bring in new settlers, who arrive jobless until a building needs them, and miners work faster when fed a variety of bread, meat and fish. Small towers expand your territory once a soldier is stationed inside, a weaponsmith forges swords and bows, and a barracks trains swordsmen and bowmen to attack a computer-controlled rival who has been building up the same way. The camera pans, zooms and rotates, units take attack-move and hold orders and control groups, and the simulation runs at up to four times speed. The entrant pitches it as “a love letter to classic settlers games, rebuilt from scratch in the browser” and says such games from childhood are the root of the entrant's passion and entry to tech. It was made for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool. It finished 594th of 945 entries. Played with keyboard and mouse.
