About Block Yard
A puzzle game in the browser. The pitch: “A puzzle game where you place factories on a grid to manufacture shapes, then design your own levels to stump your friends.” Levels you design can be shared by link. The entrant says work on the game started for the Gamedev.js Jam 2026, and that the jam's YouTube Playables sponsor inspired a mobile-first puzzle game that would still be challenging; the itch.io page lists it as a submission to that jam. It was made with Phaser for the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, whose rules required at least 90% of each game's code to be written by AI; the official submission lists Claude Code as the tool. It finished 335th of 945 entries. Free in the browser on its own site and on itch.io, with touch controls.
How it was built
Partially verifiedIn the official Vibe Jam 2026 submission the entrant lists Claude Code as the tool and answers Yes to the AI-written field. No devlog describes how Claude Code was used or which model ran in it, and the itch.io page says nothing about AI.
- OfficialJam rule 3: at least 90% of the code has to be written by AI. — Vibe Jam (Pieter Levels)
Built with Phaser, started for the Gamedev.js Jam 2026 and entered in the Cursor Vibe Jam 2026, with Claude Code named as the tool. Custom levels are shared through the site.

Verification notes: Tool (Claude Code), engine (Phaser), genre (Puzzle), pitch, inspiration and the multiplayer (Yes), mobile (Yes) and portal (Yes) flags from the entrant's answers in the official Vibe Jam 2026 games data (submitted 27 Apr 2026, 20:10 UTC; final rank 335 of 945 entries, no award), re-read on 6 Nov 2026; rule 3 on the jam page requires at least 90% AI-written code. The entrant answered Yes to multiplayer; the only shared feature we found is level sharing. Developer: pseudonymous. The game's code links urbandrei.itch.io/block-yard; the itch.io author and the entrant's X handle are both urbandrei, and that X profile (Urbandrei) gives Ohio, USA and links twitch.tv/urbandrei. The in-game credits list two guest developers, p4songer (level design, QA testing) and JayTeaGibs (level design, sound design, QA testing), and thank Twitch viewers who helped design levels and brought in audio clips; no real name or team size is recorded. The itch.io page (Status Released, HTML5, genre Puzzle, submission to Gamedev.js Jam 2026) gives no description or dates; the Gamedev.js Jam's own rules on AI were not checked. Gameplay from the pitch and the site's description; the game was not played. No calls to AI services were found in the game's scripts. The release date is not stated; the Vibe Jam submission is dated 27 Apr 2026.
