The prizes and the coin-tossing character are Clawd, the mascot of Anthropic's Claude Code. The README calls the game an unofficial fan-made work not affiliated with Anthropic, says the felt Clawd was drawn in code without official assets, and states that the name and character belong to Anthropic and are not covered by the MIT licence of the code. About ざくざくラグーン

ざくざくラグーン (Coin Lagoon) is a free 3D coin-pusher game for the browser, set on a beach ringed by palm trees and a lagoon. A big felt Clawd, the mascot of Anthropic's Claude Code, rides a surfboard along the back wall and tosses your coins; coins pushed off the front edge by the moving pusher are yours. A coin that passes through the swim ring spins a slot reel (up to five spins can be stored): matching hibiscus, coconuts, shells or pineapples pays coins, matching Clawds drops a new felt Clawd prize, and three suns start a 25-second Sunset Fever with a sunset sky, coin rain and a faster pusher. Pushing the felt Clawd prizes off the edge fills a collection book of ten kinds, from Classic to the rare Golden Clawd. Side guards are on by default; turning them off in the settings lets coins fall off the sides as on a real machine. When you run low, a coin is handed out every six seconds; the board, coins and collection are saved in the browser. It plays with mouse, keyboard, gamepad or touch, on PCs and phones, in Japanese or English. The README credits planning and direction to たぬ (tanuu5) and development to Claude Code with Claude Opus 5.5 at the MAX reasoning level, and the developer says it took 1 hour 40 minutes from start to publication. Shapes, patterns, music and sound effects are all made in code. Clawd appears as unofficial fan art; the code is MIT-licensed, the character is not.

How it was built

Verified

The README credits planning and direction to たぬ and development to Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, reasoning level MAX), and says that Claude Code implemented everything from the rule design to the 3D display, physics, music, sound effects and screens, based on たぬ's plan. The felt Clawd is built from distance functions as two pieces of cloth sewn at the edge with a little stuffing, with blanket stitches placed in code. Coin physics use Rapier; a script that runs the machine without drawing it counted side drops, returns and swim-ring hits to set the machine's dimensions, and the look was checked with screenshots from headless Chrome on a real GPU.

Supporting evidence
  • DeveloperDeveloper's note post of 24 Oct 2026: eight browser works made with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) between 9 and 23 Oct 2026; the last of them, ざくざくラグーン, took 1 hour 40 minutes from starting work to publication. — note (たぬ / tank_ai)
Development approach

Planned and directed by one developer, with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5, MAX) implementing the rules, 3D display, physics, music, sound effects and screens. Rendering uses three.js and the coin physics Rapier (Apache 2.0, bundled into the build); textures, music and sound effects are generated in code, and the only external asset is the Mochiy Pop One font from Google Fonts. A Node simulation script can run the machine without drawing it to measure returns and drop rates. The game is built with npm scripts and deployed to GitHub Pages by a GitHub Actions workflow.

Verification notes: Credits, features, technology, licence and the update history (published 23 Oct 2026; v1.0.1 on 1 Nov 2026) come from the developer's repository README, read through raw.githubusercontent.com on 5 Nov 2026; the README links the play address, which loaded that day. The time from start to publication comes from the developer's note post of 24 Oct 2026 (published 19:07 JST), which lists the game as the last of eight works made between 9 and 23 Oct 2026. The README says Clawd is the mascot of Anthropic's Claude Code, that this felt Clawd is fan art drawn in code without official assets, that the name and character belong to Anthropic and are not covered by the MIT licence, and that the work is unofficial and not affiliated with Anthropic. The coins are in-game coins; the README mentions no purchases. The page's scripts make no calls to AI services. The repository's stars and commit history were not checked (github.com was not reachable from our checker). Team size and location are not stated.

Development history

  1. Published in the browser, per the README's update history; the developer's note says it took 1 hour 40 minutes from start to publication.

  2. v1.0.1: the Clawd collection book no longer resets when the page is reloaded (records lost before the fix are not restored).
